Good day Campus Connect family, for today's Learn with steem topic we would be looking at a scientific process called photosynthesis. I know we are all excited for today's class. I, Ace would be looking into photosynthesis, what's it's all about and why it is important. I will simplify this lecture because not everyone here is a science student and all those big words might confuse them.

Photosynthesis is a process where by plants and some other organisms make use of carbon dioxide, water and the light energy from the sun to create oxygen and their food (in the form of sugar). We could say that photosynthesis is one of the reasons we as humans are still existing right now. I say this because we human get majority of the oxygen we breathe if not all from plants and plants make this possible through photosynthesis so if there is no photosynthesis, then there would be no plants and if they were no plants then humans and animals would be wiped out since they don't have oxygen to breathe.
Water

Water is an important part of photosynthesis as the hydrogen part of water is needed in the production of glucose which is one of the end products of photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll which is a green pigment in all photosynthetic organisms and plants(usually on the leaves of plants) which has the basic function of absorbing the light energy from the sun which is then used in photosynthesis.
Carbon dioxide
Just as humans take in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, plants take in carbon dioxide and bring out oxygen. When photosynthesis is taking place, plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air through the stomata on the leaves and water from the soil into their cells and the cells break it down, works on it and brings out in form of glucose.
Sunlight or light energy
Light energy is absorbed through chlorophyll and utilized in the conversion of water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose. You can simply say the light powers the whole process so without light energy, photosynthesis wouldn't take place.
Photosynthesis enables for the intake of carbon dioxide by plants and the removal of oxygen from plants and it's this oxygen passed out from plants that humans and animals breathe so it's safe to say that photosynthesis helps us survive.
Photosynthesis causes the intake of carbon dioxide from the air and the removal of oxygen to the air, this helps balance the both of them as there are many plants carrying out this process and there are many humans breathing in the air so there is a balance.
Photosynthesis is necessary for plant survival as they help the plants provide their own food. These plants are also used as food for both humans and animals.
It converts the energy from the sun into chemical energy naturally. This energy helps in the creation of glucose which is a natural source of energy to plants and animals.
For all those who read, I am happy atleast we might have learnt a thing or two. Well thanks for reading and anticipate my next lecture
