Like the elephant
Once a ruler of the jungle
Ruling over animals and plants
With care and love from different angles
Till the Lion unseated it with its vibrant
To carry on the jungle's journey struggle.
Like an email box
Was once a means to discuss
Your feeling without the usage of horse
And got replaced with ICT and its brethren
To save the recipient from being exhausted of breathing.
As a coin was once the King of currency,
The ruler above a nation presidency
And serves as a regency to Excellency(ies)
Whose reign was fully noisy
Till being dethroned by paper notes
And make the former "shirts" beneath "coats"
As silent reign and freezed the world
Beyond what mortal could express through words.
She presided over her species
And protected 'em with her soul and speech.
Beneath her wings
Her species flourished.
Alas! Once upon an African country,
Nigeria was a King! Protector! And rescuer from penury.
Yet! We smile
And still dream high
For being alive
Despite the struggling of life.
