Importance Of Teamwork || The Big Competition

I am highly honoured to be a part of this family which seeks to connect all nigerian campus student. Indeed this is a most brillant idea and being here on compus connect participating in this contest that aim's to bring the idea's of the greatest nigerian student together is a superb innovation i must say.

My Storyline

Now for the sake of this contest i would love to lean toward a football scenario since i am a lover of football and football is a game of passion, a game that seeks to unite as much as our great community is meant for.

So my storyline is that of being the head or capitain of my department football team. We have an important upcoming match against a team or side with a winning streak, unbeaten and ruthless in front of goal and as the head of the football team i won't be available in the match due to injury.

Ofcourse considering my contribution to the side and my fine leadership qualities off and on the field of play they are worried that without they don't have much of a chance. They feel like they would be outplayed, victimized and conquered, but i won't be having none of that.

And might i add that our famous steemian @whitestallion and newcomer @jueco is part of that team.

But ofcourse, even though i won't be playing i would wish for my team to come out victorious, because i not only wish for the success of my team when am playing with them but especially when am not.

Now as someone that is looked up to by my team and seeing how they are low on morale i think i would have to instill confidence in them to believe in themselves and what they can do having played alongside them on many occassion.

The Speech

First i would have them know that there is no need to despair because i will be with them that day, not on the field with them ofcourse because of my injury, but would be on the on the sideline rooting for our success just like Cristiano Ronaldo did at the Euro 2016 final, when though injured still provided his teammates with the much needed morale support which inpired them to victory even though they were earlier viewed as underdogs.

I would have that one person alone does not makeup a team, that a truly strong team who work hard together, yes teamwork can propel a team to success even with the exception of one good team member. I mean we saw it at the 2012 champions league semi-final Chelsea vs Barca when even though terry the capitain of chelsea received a matching order(red card) Chelsea still held on and equalised to draw 2-2 with barca which was enough to propel them to the final. what was the secret? Teamwork.

Ofcourse long before any success teammates are tested sometimes beyond their elastic limit. That is when they display their strength of character.

When things get's hard, when our back is pressed against the wall, when we start second guessing ourselves, that moment of uncertainty our response determines the strength of our team, because teamwork can make dreams come through.

Yes, i would have my team understand that in life things may not always go how we plan it, but that moment is when we decide either to move forward or to remain stagnant.

Before any team can be great it all depends on the teammates, i would have them remember the strength of the Chelsea team of 2012 who went on to lift the trophy at wembly, why? Is it because they have great individual players more than their opponents? Not all all then what is the secret? Teamwork.

I would have them remember the strength of the portugal team that lifted euro 2016 against all odds. What is their secret for that defying moment? Teamwork.

I would have them remember the Real madrid team who went on to win the Uefa Champions League 3 straight times defying history and raising the bar of challenge to other teams. What is the secret to their success? Teamwork.

Ofcourse the importance of team work can not be over-empahasized.

Yes teamwork coupled with a sheer desire to succeed and thrive through obstacles

Ofcourse the video rightly shows that a team ought to trust each other to succeed. The power or strength of any team is in each individual member.

Conclusion

Working together as a team doesn't always mean we would come out victorious, yes but, what a talking about is developing the character to always work together as a team not just to achieve victory in one match but it should be our character a mental attitude to work together the willingness to push through all challenges.
