Students who keep struggling with organizing stuffs, preparing notes and mostly especially distracted when lectures are going on tends to be less focused which consequence is failure. It's of great importance to write on
AVOIDING DISTRACTION AS A STUDENT

Distraction can be said to be an irregular action from the influence of external body, it's the state of being disorganized whereby a student lacks the ability to be focus. Distraction in the campus are numerous of which some can come from social media, self thought, lecture room/classroom distraction from friends, some social activities like parties etc.

Concentrating more on lecture room/classroom distraction, students who fail to understand the importance of focus when lecture is going on tends to have no first-hand knowledge of what is being taught in class regardless of their presence in the class, this results to failure sometimes when a lecturer decides to give quiz/test immediately after the said lecture.

Most times this classroom distraction is being noticed from students who has made it a habit to sit at the back of the classroom and students who like sitting with their friends and loves talking about things not related to the said teaching. The earlier one gets to understand the benefits of focus while in a classroom the chances of doing better.

I have a lecturer who only set 80% of examination questions based on what he says in class and if while in class one was distracted, the potential of one failing is higher, this is to notify that distraction will do one more harm than good.

There is no point writing on the causes of distraction without giving some remedies to it

~Avoid sitting with friends who likes talking~ Some friends prefer discussing while lecture is going on, one trying to scold them might lead to misunderstanding but avoiding them totally would be the best option. You will do yourself a great deal if you sit with persons who you're not too close with to avoid distraction.

~Avoid mind wandering~
Our thoughts are many that makes our mind to always be wandering, work on your thoughts and remain focus on the task at hand which is the lecture.

~Avoid the use of materials~
One might ask, why can't I use the material(handout/textbook) while the lecture is going on?
There is no need for you to be in the said class if you already know what the lecturer wants or is teaching. If materials should be used, the best time is after the lecture. Keep in mind that focus is the ultimate step to any pursuit or goal in life.
