As at the 30th of June the regular students of the University of Uyo had concluded their 2019/2020 second semester examination, except pharmacy and medical students who were yet to Start.

Death is reported of a final year student of the faculty of social sciences who attended a dinner night and was killed at the event.
The story from a reliable source has it that the deceased student is the immediate past Mr SOSSA Uniuyo.
Who was privilaged to be the Judge for the coronation of the New Royalties of Faculty of Art's {Mr and Miss FASA Uniuyo}
After the event , some boy's met with the Judge with claims that he was partial to their candidate in the accused defense he tried to defend himself this sparked some misunderstanding which then led to a fight which resulted in his death.
The next night, friends of the deceased stroke back and short a fellow student of the faculty of arts too though information has it that the gunned student did not die and was rushed to the hospital.
This led to school being shut down indefinitely.
