My school was FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE OWERRI, NIGERIA. Yeah I'm no more a student there because I graduated from the institution since 3years ago, I'm doing my master's program in another school now. But I would love to recommend my former school to friends here.
"FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE (FEDEPONEK) is located in Nekede Owerri Imo State, the South-Eastern part of Nigeria" it Is a Federal Government own higher institution, The school is a public, it was established since 1978 and the campus is urban.

FEDEPONEK has 5 Schools(Faculties) of study.
School Of Business Management Technology (SBMT) And there are 11 department under this school, School Of Engineering (SET) 14 Departments made up this school, School Of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) 3 Departments are in this school, School Of Industrial And Applied Science (SIAS) 19 Different departments made up of this school and lastly School Of Environmental Development Technology (SEDT) There are 14 Departments in this school.

I like Federal Polytechnic Nekede, because it is a prestigious school, it is a school with great minds, the vision of the school is to set a pace in Demand driven technology and innovation, the institution popular slogan is "FEDEPONEK leads and others follows, if they can" And truly the live up to this. The school's mission is to train students in technical and professional skills that will make them become not only self-employed but job creators, rather than job seekers. The school devoted to nurture and sustain the culture of the best teaching/learning methods, research/demonstrations, skills and technological innovations in order to produce job creators for global economy.

The Polytechnic is founded on the philosophy that science and technological education are the sinequanon for national development, it places great premium on innovative research and hands on techniques.

The school have good learning facilities and a conducive environment for learning, each department have good building structure, and well ventilated classes for each section, there are quality medical facilities accessible to all students. The Polytechnic raise quality graduates and future leaders who are ready to face life challenges head on. THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO GAIN ADMISSION INTO FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE:

• The candidate must score a minimum of 200 in jamb.
• He or she must have at least (5) o-level credits in relevant subjects which must be obtain in not more than 2 sittings. Please note it's compulsory to have credit in English language and Mathematics no matter what course you intended to study.
• note combination of NABTEB and WAEC or NECO is not acceptable. You can only combine NABTEB with NABTEB, but combination of NECO and WAEC is acceptable.
• Certificate of origin, birth certificate, attestation letter from your previous School will be needed.

MY CURRENT SEMESTER IN SCHOOL
I graduated from the school 3years ago. So I'm no more there.

DOES YOUR SCHOOL HAVE A HOSTEL FOR STUDENTS?:
YES! they have a nice and well ventilated hostel accommodation for students and the prices are affordable. All you need is to visit the student portal and apply for it.

THE SCHOOL FEES AMOUNT AND OTHER DUES FOR YEAR ONE STUDENTS:
The Polytechnic Fees very affordable, both for Freshers and return students. Here is the breakdown of school Fees for Freshers the fee is 40,000 Naira for all the faculties (schools) that is 180steems approximately with the current price of steem. Other fees included student union government that one is 500NGN and that is 2steems.
Note acceptance fee must be paid first, upon your admission into any university or Polytechnic in Nigeria. It serves as a proof that you've accepted the professional admission from JAMB. Failure to pay this fee on time attract extra charges or even forfeiture of the admission. The Fees is normally 10,000 Naira that is about 40steems with the current price of steem.
