I'll always recommend University of Uyo anytime any day.

I just got back from my National Youth Service Program few months ago, meaning I'm no longer a student, but I can't speak alot of my school atleast probably they shouldn't be any much changes from when I left.

Having to mix up with so many people from so many institutions made me understand that despite how deprived and exploited, I felt I was, UNIUYO is the cheapest Federal University in Nigeria.
University of Uyo (Uniuyo) located at Uyo in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria is a federal government owned institution founded in 1991.
The institution has about 12 faculties, which includes,

• Faculty of Agriculture,
• Faculty of Art's
• Faculty of Law,
• Faculty of Pharmacy
• Faculty of Social Sciences,
• Faculty of Scientists
• Faculty of Basic Medicals
• Faculty of Business Management
• Faculty of Clinical sciences,
• Faculty of Education,
• Faculty of Engineering,
• Faculty of Environmental studies,

The institution also does pre degree programs as well as diploma programs as well as part time schooling.

School fees and dues

For the purpose of this publication, I decided to go to the school to make an updated inquiry on the school fees and seek for other updates.

As a newly admitted student, you will be paying a school fee of about 50000 Naira per session
For dues, all students are required to pay 1000 Naira departmental dues and 1000 Naira for Faculty dues.

Admission Requirement

A lot of people get scared of seeking admission to Uniuyo due to its high Cut off point demand.

• Basically, to get admission to study any course in Uniuyo, one must atleast score up to 190 in their matriculation examination, as required by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of Nigeria.
  Faculties in my school require even higher cut off points to be able to be considered for admission, e.g;

• One must score atleast 300 to be admitted to study Medicine and Surgery in University of Uyo.

• To be admitted to study any Engineering course, a candidate my atleast score above 240

• Also, for Faculty of Law and Faculty of Pharmacy an Aspirant is required to score atleast 270 in JAMB(Matriculation exams) to be considered for admission.

Other requirements

To get admission into the University of Uyo it is mandatory that a candidate must have at least a minimum of five credits in their O'level certificate examination, including Maths and English.
