Ying & Yang

I was the day and you were the night,
You were dark and I was so bright.
I tried to fix you with all of my might,
Absorbed the darkness, till it was no longer in sight.

With your darkness now in me, you became the ever-glowing light,
Now I am the darkest black and you are the purest white.

Yin and yang, you and I were once so tight,
But you pushed me away because the darkness within gave you a fright.

It was clear, you weren't going to be my silvered knight.
You told me it was pointless, there was no need to fight,
Because what we had, no longer felt right.
And with that, you got onto your horse and took my only form of
daylight.
