Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I've been able to get numerous experiences and learn new skills. It is thanks to this pandemic that I found steemit.

Around January 2020, it struck hard on Cameroonians and left people in chaos. We were at the verge of writing first semester exams in my university and honestly, we didn't know what to do. Lecturers stopped giving lectures and students in turn stopped coming for lectures. Thankfully, the dean of my faculty, faculty of science at the university of Buea campus, called everyone to order and we finished exams.
We were told second semester would only resume when and if the virus stops its so and the affected individuals properly treats.
Thus we ended up staying home fior over 3 months without school.
At first took it as time to relax, reconnect and connect with new people. But that wasn't enough at a point.

I started searching for skills to learn online to keep myself busy and to make money as well. I found a lot...
-Firstly, I took a course on copywriting, my base was journalistic writing and article writing.

  • I got into network marketing too but best of all, I found steemit.
At first it was really slow for me. Though I loved writing, I wasn't doing the right things in the right places. I felt a little lost and so I backed out for a while.
But thankfully I came back stronger than ever.
-I was also able to practice my copywriting skills on a couple of platforms like; copywriters.net, freelancer.com etc.
  • I learnt so much about cryptos, trading and how the digital currencies work. It was all do much fun.
  • Lastly, I polished up my poetry by learning new words, new ways to write poetry and spoken words.

The year was moving by really slowly and I was starting to miss my friends and going out. Lockdown was really hard for me cause I love going for walks in the evenings but that was restricted too, coupled with the ghost towns in my region. 3 months turned to 4 but finally, we were back in school for a new semester.

CONCLUSION:

Though the coronavirus pandemic had it's intricacies, I'm glad the best of all landed me here on Steemit. Campus life was harder than ever but I'm alive and smiling on my way to graduation come the 20th of this month 🥳.
