My first day on campus is the one I will never forget, I have had so many unforgettable experiences in life but this one is among the ones that are coming out of secondary school and passing my WAEC was a thing of joy, I was so proud that i had put a smile on the face of my family being the only son and last born. I just had lost my mother in the beginning of the year and my dad was out of the country, things were really not easy, I was was at Kaduna state when school had resumed, so my sisters helped me to pay my school fees and registered me into the hostel, things were going quite smooth.

On arriving to the school ground I could not believe my eyes, I taught it was a city of its own, but one thing I could not help but notice was the casual wears, wearing uniforms in secondary school made me feel like I was in a cage, so putting on a casual wear made me feel so confident and free. I taught to familiarize my self with the environment and get to know my department and important venues, so I set off to the Registration center where I had to be approved as a fresher, then I met a girl whom I asked politely to give me directions to my department which is Fine and Applied Art, to my surprise she was also from the same department , so she volunteered to help me get familiar with the environment.

We the set out first to the General Studies building which is where I would offer courses on English, Philosophy and Natural science, the hall where so big that I taught they where cinema halls. After touring round the halls we then set out to my department, on arriving my hopes where blown to pieces I taught that it was going to be a wonderful building with massive murals, sculptural works and fresco around it, instead it was a one story building with just three small rooms. But regardless I was still filled with passion, but while touring the different sections, I began to see the beautiful talents of different individuals, some which I taught were far better than mine, that gave me a sense of competition and drive.

When we were done I was already hungry, so she took me to a place call SUB, it was a popular hot spot within the campus which was littered with different restaurants and other small business, we then went into one of the restaurants, I made an order of Rice and Stew which is my favorite, while she made an order of Egusi and Eba. We charted while eating, when we were done we said our pleasantries and went our separate ways. The Day was really amazing an less stressful thanks to the girl I met, I went back to the hostel and had a beautiful nap.
