My Alma Mata, the great and only university of Nigeria. The name of my school is the University of Nigeria, popularly known as UNN. The university was founded in 1960, just after the colonial era. The University of Nigeria Has two locations, but its primary location is at the University of Nigeria Nsukka which is located at Nsukka town, this is where most practical and social science also serves as the administrative headquarters, and science courses are taken, while the University of Nigeria Enugu is popularly known as UNEC is located in Enugu town.
The necessary documents required to gain admission into your school
The University of Nigeria is one of the most prestigious higher institutions of learning in Nigeria, therefore to be accepted as a Student, you have to have surpassed certain criteria and also have excellent credentials to be accepted; these criteria include;
- You should choose UNN as your primary choice when registering for your JAMB.
- Depending on the course chosen you have to have at least a score of 200 and above for you to be able to take the POST-UTME examination organised by the University.
- You should have been able to have at least a C in all the required O' level courses written in your WAEC.
- You should have been able to scale above the cut of mark for the required course that you have chosen.
The Joint matriculation board cut-off mark required for year one candidate
To be accepted there are various cut off marks required for different courses. The primary cut of mark for acceptance is 200 and above, but there are various courses that demand higher scores before you could be accepted they include;
- Medicine; you will need at least a score of 300 and above.
- Pharmacy; you will need at least a score of 270 and above.
- Civil engineering; a score of 270 and above.
- Law; a score of 290 and above.
Your current semester
My school just recently concluded the second semester of the 2020/2021 section, which means there the next section would be for the acceptance of new students, but I am currently a graduate of the 2020/2021 session.
Tell us if your school have a hostel for students
My school have very large and secure buildings for accommodation in total there are over 18 hostels for Boys and Girls with each having a capacity of over 400 rooms. they also have installed WIFI connections available for all registered students.
School fees amount and other dues for year one students.
As a new student, you are required to pay for your acceptance fee, hostel fee and registration fee which is at a sum of #25,000, #20,000 and #5000 respectively. The school fees are relatively low but it also depends on your Faculty, below is a tabular view
