Dear reader, this post is made to give you an insight of the present state of an average Nigerian students mind.

my name is Agoha Samuel Idowu, I'm a student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, getting admission into the most prestigious and recognized school in Nigeria was a dream come true. you have to understand how highly rated my school is, it even carries the countries name in it. I won't say it came as a surprise to me when people congratulated me on such an achievement but little did I know that this was the opposite case. i stepped into the biggest lesson of my entire life.

First i was introduced to the hardship that faced every Nigerian, which is called stress. This came as a result of poorly distributed informative direction and made students rely on learning solely on mistakes and just plain luck. it was so confusing and new that you just had to take among to just get by. This was no place for an introvert, you had to mingle with ease or you could get left behind.

PROBLEMS THAT STUDENTS FACE ON CAMPUS

1. Low quality information dissemination

This is a major problem on campus that is usually caused by school staffs, they fail to do their jobs by making sure students follow up on important steps. Having a course adviser is basically useless in where i school because they do not help with any sort of advise and even criticize a student, knowing fully well that every human has different learning speed.

2. High level of criticism

Both students and lecturers are guilty of this disgusting act. Basically we all go to school to learn what we do not know, so criticizing a person for not knowing the answer to a question or failing a test is pure stupidity to me. This really needs to stop.

3. Outdated learning facilities and equipment's

For adequate learning to be achieved, top notch equipment's are needed but what we have 0n campus now a days are old and obsolete equipment's that do more harm than good, creating a low learning speed.

SOLUTION TO THESE PROBLEMS

Truth be told, there is a very simple and effective way that will make campus habitable for students. It simply called "DOING THE RIGHT THING", corruption and inhumanity has eaten deep into our society that older and more experienced people, whom are suppose to be in charge of setting kids on the right track, have eventually allowed the bitterness they feel to start affecting their job efficiency. forgetting that they were employed to help students and not to be another academic problem.

God bless Nigeria my country, i pray for change and well implemented efforts in the nearest future.

A big change is what we need in our beloved UNN to restore the dignity of man. A very big change.

Amen to that prayer, it’s really affecting students in chaotic ways. Worse part is that the lecturers and staffs see it as an opportunity to exercise excessive dominance on the students. SUCH A PETTY ACT
