Hello, scholars!

The primary goal is to have an education, earn a first-class or second class upper degree, and land a job more profitable than teaching and after working my azz out in five years, I should be able to make my first million. When papa God don butter my bread, I'll look for someone's son, a cute-faced engineer preferable, who doesn't only know how to build machines but builds himself at the gym every Saturday until he has those desirable biceps and fresh glowing skin on his well-defined six-pack. I will drive my pink-lipped prince charming in my Lexus 330 model to our family people who will give us their blessings then we will sell his 70-hectare land heritage. Thereafter, use the money from the proceed to fund our honeymoon to Kuala Lumpur, pop out babies before the end of the first year then when we have less than 2M left, we will hit reality before it comes for us and will return to our well-paying jobs to save ourselves from uncalled-for penury. When all these are done, I'll wake up to accept that this has all been a dream and I still have to write on My Life After College on Steemit Campus Connect community.

But how do I explain that the fantasy above is a snippet of my dream for my life after completing my first degree?

Funny as it might sound, many people believe that due to the high rate of unemployment in the country, a graduate of the English language is destined to be a classroom teacher in one of those private schools where they can only receive some stipends sufficient enough to keep them clad, fix their rickety cars, and oh, for the ladies, feed their children when their husbands Yul Edochie away. Nevertheless, after my B.A, I want to be a creative who entertains, as well as, educates my audience with every stroke of the pen on my writing pad. Interestingly, people never consider how profitable writing is in our present world, even when copywriters, scriptwriters and content creators are making it big. Deep research will prove to anyone that my options for a career as a handler of the English language are not limited.

I also see a future in agriculture and will encourage anyone who has a lot of patience and body energy to venture into this sector that is not only profitable to oneself but of great benefit to the world at large.

So it wouldn't be recorded that my village people only end up as farmers with a B. A. in English Literature, I look forward to acquiring more knowledge in other fields, thus, obtaining a certificate at the end of each course. It could be online or at a conventional university. Maybe, just maybe, at my transition to the Middle Passage, it will be recorded that I had been a prolific writer, successful farmer and admirable scholar who had contributed greatly to scholarship and was donned with another laureate after reaching the highest level of scholarship.
