Wer kennt Monika Kruse?
Als Teil meiner TechnoFriday Vorstellungen bin ich über Monika Kruse gestolpert, ursprünglich aus Berlin, in München aufgewachsen wo Sie die Rave Szene mitbegründet hatte, jetzt wieder in Berlin mit eigenem Record Label. Seltsam, dass man (oder bin das nur ich?) andere DJ's kennt aus unserem Lande, von weiblicher Seite maximal noch Marusha. Mich würde interessieren ob usner @andyjaypowell mit ihr bereits zu tun hatte?
Techno Friday with another introduction
Today I am introducing a lady that is actually a legend of the German Techno scene, one of the first that played abroad in the early days of the movement - but how come we mainly know Westbam, Dag, Väth or PvD from Germany. I heard about Monika often but did not observe and follow her a lot - I missed a bit - check for yourself.
Monika Kruse
She has been born in the second Techno capital of Germany: Berlin. What is interesting to me as a citizen of Munich that Monika especially played an influential role in the early Munich rave scene days of the early 90ies (my excuse I moved to Munich in 2000 - and Monika grew up there). What I did not know is that she has been one of the first German techno artists to tour internationally. She finally moved back to Berlin to found her own record label Terminal M - reason probably that you are wrong for Techno living in Munich :-).
