Arsenal will look to bounce back in Saturday's Premier League lunchtime clash with Newcastle United after their 10-game unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end at Anfield.
Last time out, Arsenal were defeated 4-0 by Liverpool, while Eddie Howe's reign at Newcastle began with a dramatic 3-3 draw against Brentford.
As proven by their humiliation at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, this young Arsenal squad still has a long way to go, and the result might have been even more embarrassing for the Gunners had it not been for Aaron Ramsdale's heroics.

The Englishman's resolve was broken by a Sadio Mane header, which he would have been unhappy not to save, and Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, and Takumi Minamino would complete the rout for a ruthless Liverpool in the second half.
After losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, a resurgent Arsenal missed out on a chance to break into the top four, but Mikel Arteta's side remain fifth in the table, three points behind West Ham United.

Arsenal's -4 goal differential may not be indicative of a team aiming to return to Europe, but home is where the heart is for the Gunners, who have collected 13 of the previous 15 points available at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal, along with Manchester City and Chelsea, has the joint-best home record this season, with the latter being the only team to beat their capital opponents in North London so far, and they have never lost a home game against a side that began the gameweek at the bottom of the standings.
Due to a case of COVID-19, Eddie Howe was unable to take his position in the dugout for his first game as Newcastle manager, but unfortunately for him, the first 45 minutes of the 43-year-match rule's against Brentford were simply unmissable.

After Ivan Toney and Rico Henry scored for the Magpies, Jamaal Lascelles and Joelinton scored for the Magpies, and Allan Saint-Maximin would be the rescue for Newcastle with his 75th-minute equalize after Lascelles' own goal.
Newcastle, however, remains winless in the 2021-22 Premier League and sits at the bottom of the table, five points away of safety, despite a great viewing experience for the neutrals.

Howe's side are the only team in the top four English divisions without a win this season, but they do have a better goal-scoring record than Arsenal, with the Gunners scoring 13 Premier League goals this season compared to Newcastle's 15.
This Saturday, though, that record may fade into insignificance, as Arsenal has won the last six encounters between the teams without surrendering a goal, and the Magpies haven't scored at the Emirates Stadium since 2014.

Information for the Team

Arsenal have no new injury concerns for this match, and Arteta has handed the hosts a significant advantage over Granit Xhaka (knee), who could be back before the end of the year.
Sead Kolasinac is still recovering from a major ankle injury, but there could be a change at left-back, with Kieran Tierney replacing Nuno Tavares following the Portuguese's nervous performance at Anfield.
Aside from Tierney's return, it should be business as usual for the Gunners, with Albert Sambi Lokonga holding down his midfield spot despite competition from Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Owing to the fact that Fabian Schar was forced off against Brentford due to a hamstring strain, Emil Krafth could be called into the defence if Howe sticks with a three-man backline.
Joe Willock has lost his goal-scoring touch, but he will try to start against his former team, as will Isaac Hayden, and Martin Dubravka could return in goal.
The visitors' only confirmed absence is Paul Dummett, and it's unclear whether Howe will be able to go to the capital after his positive coronavirus test.

Lineup Prediction

Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Ramsdale, Tomiyasu,Ben White, Gabriel,Kieran Tierney,Bukayo Saka,Thomas Partey, Maitland-Niles, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Newcastle United possible starting lineup:
Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth, Lascelles, Clark, Jacob Murphy, Willock, Hayden, Ritchie, Joelinton, Wilson, Saint-Maximin

Scores Prediction

On Saturday, goals will be plentiful at the Emirates, since Newcastle is always dangerous when Saint-Maximin is on the ball, but their dreadful defensive record speaks for itself.
Arsenal has been consistent in front of their own fans this season, and I don't see the winless Magpies springing any surprises here, with or without Howe in charge. So I say Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle United.
