Good morning Teachers and Educators all round the globe. It's always a great time to share ideas with you here because I learn a lot from engaging the creative contents of people here.

Today, I want to share one of my poems in my poetry collection. It muse came while I was in a long queue for about 30minutes. What I eyes saw, it's only my pen that could express it cause my lips may be too heavy to communicate it.

Poem Title: You can Beat the Rich

**Lost in anger while waiting
I heard his deafening call.
"Sq-u-u-ua-ad!"

There came his command
The car came to a halt

The queue was long.
Longer than the queues in gas stations.

From the distance, I could see
hands transacting and exchanging,
communicating with pockets.

And then came my turn
I heaved a sigh.
"Your parti-*kola!"
he shouted with greed and aggression.

I squeezed it into his hand
Keeping a straight face and PÀSSED.

"So you can beat the rich!" I smiled foolishly to myself
Thinking of the piece of loaf label in his pocket..**

Summary of the poem

The poem is really a funny one. There in the poem the poet paints a picture of a scenario where he outsmarts an officer who has unfortunately abandoned the core duty of protecting life and property to that of extortion of money from road users to enrich his pocket. There's a big challenge in our society. Using the Nigeria society as a case study, one could tell that the Nigeria Police officers are "money conscious"

Stand bu, I shall return tomorrow with indepth analysis and expositon on the themes of this poem.
