Media Spin in Constant Ad Nauseam Overdrive

I've spent the last few days watching and studying the local news, in between spending some time with family and playing quite a few matches of backgammon with my arch nemesis! Don't ask about the backgammon, as it didn't go well:(

The media coverage is in ad-nauseum public relations spin, and will be for quite a long time to come over the current crisis. The amount of time being spent on the actual specific topic of the so-called virus itself, is minimal at best. Even then, it's mostly hype or glossed over with awkward feel good PR, fluffy graphs and information that comes from spokespeople of special interest institutions that have no knowledge of viruses or solution to them, rather than actual non-compromised real world scientists that specialise in these fields...and of course, a full role call of everyone's favourite philanthropists and celebrities (probably streaming from their doomsday bunkers), because they are the real 'experts' and have the need to tell us how to live our daily lives and give life saving advice to the average person. It's almost as if it's deliberately moronic. I guess it is deliberate, and mostly full of ulterior motives to sell a new way of life and a different level of a consumerist society in the aftermath and impact this will have on us all.

Most of the 'discussion' in the media revolves around social distancing, and people's general behaviour to combat the virus (and has reached the point of public shaming)...along with plenty of calls for stricter measures, and hints of what is to come in the foreseeable future. Yes, the constant hints that are embedded within their words are very revealing indeed! These are also the same people who criticised other nations (specifically geo-political foes) for the very same things they now want imposed on us all:) Funny how that works! I guess they have to break the ice with the viewer and program us before it becomes 'official' public policy from our leaders!

The constant referencing to social distancing and the use of technology to connect with others, is absolutely non-stop...almost as if nobody has ever heard of it before and they are trying to sell the world on a new product. Maybe, they are just trying to sell the next phase of that product, which falls neatly into place along with everything else this crisis will bring.

The mega banks and corps are rubbing their hands with glee (as per usual) with the trillions of dollars of wealth re-distribution being transferred directly into their hands, under the banner of "bail-outs' to save them from financial ruin. This Coronavirus outbreak, is the perfect cover for something that happens on a regular cycle...theft from the lower and middle classes, for the benefit of the banks and mega corps.

There is never any 'funny money' around to help the average person in times of need (just some crumbs), but somehow a huge vault is suddenly discovered and unlocked when it comes to those aforementioned special interests.

The representatives of these special interests, are now all over the media making suggestions as to how they will save the world through their philanthropy (using their stolen wealth through corporate socialism) to develop measures and combat the threat....directly positioning themselves as our saviours.

I have no doubts, that this is only the beginning of what is a long term media campaign, to usher in the future in 'their own eyes', to serve both themselves and special interest groups that fund them.
