Carrying on from part 1, here I continue to look at the concept of genetics, and eugenics from a philosophical point of view. There are two levels of understanding, the mundane and the transcendent. On the purely spiritual level, all living entities are housing the spirit soul, in quality identical to any other spirit soul. This is a very elevated level of perception or consciousness, so not everyone will relate to it initially. However, on the mundane level, there are differences, just as there is a difference between a cow and a dog and a human and even among humans, but those differences are in their personal qualities and how they behave. In other words, if you have the qualifications to be an academic, or a political leader, then you are one, based on your merit, based on your qualities and work or actions, not your birth into a family of such people. However, as is often the case, the elite, whether royal rulers or priests/academics have distorted the philosophy to keep themselves and their bloodline in power, regardless of actual qualities on the ground. And that is the source of our classic problem of racism, cast-consciousness or elitism throughout history.
We can bring this concept back to the initial genetic philosophy discovered by modern western scientists too. Originally geneticists claimed, as I stated, that we were born with the genes for a job or we weren’t and there was little we could do to change it. That is how racists have ruled for the last centuries. But not only philosophical reference differs, as I showed above, but also actual case studies on the ground obviously and clearly invalidate this concept. For example we know now that anyone, given the initial inherited genetic skills, plus (and this is a crucial plus) given the correct training or education, can cultivate the qualities and engage in the work to become anything they wish, from CEO to president of a country, regardless of their DNA or genetic ancestry. Just look at President Barack Obama, son of a Kenyan low level worker, who rose to become president of the most powerful nation on earth at the time. And conversely, we have seen how men born into royalty and positions of power, wealth and leadership, have behaved like the most low class villains and criminals. History is littered with them. Such is the immoral system still today, where if you are born into an elite family, like the Bush dynasty or the Trump dynasty, you get more facility to rise to the top based, like the Indian caste system, on birth and not qualities. Trump and Bush Jr were by no means natural leadership material, but there they are, in the position without the qualifications, but more based on birth.
So it is a mixed situation we find ourselves in today, where elites continue to be given more privilege or opportunity based on wealth or birth and not on real merit. Admittedly some race groups are genetically predisposed to certain skills above others, as we see in the arena of sports. Most long distance runners are African, so there are predispositions, but not all world class runners are African and anyone can qualify. Similarly there are not many Indian or Arab long distance runners. But there is a preponderance of Indian and Arab IT and trade specialists. These may be broad generalizations simply to embellish my point, but they give you the picture.
Ultimately, my understanding is that we are all equal on the absolute platform. All humans are deserving of equal respect. Personally I would aim to take it even further and say all life is to be treated with equal respect, but that is for another discussion. For now, the outdated or foolish theory that genetics alone determine your social status, is to be abandoned. Whether genetic scientists or moralizing priests, both need to be questioned as to the validity of their opinion. It is possible to train or nurture anyone into becoming a good and worthy person, with talents in their predisposed field. DNA inheritance does play a role, but so does upbringing, education and role models.
And this can be taken a step further, into the field of health and medicine. Originally DNA researchers were able to discover the tendency toward certain physical illnesses, which we call inherited traits, and it was presumed that those are written in stone, or should I say in DNA, and were unchangeable. But now we know, due to further discoveries in neuro-plasticity and genetics, that even physical weaknesses can be improved upon on a genetic level. That may be a controversial topic, along the lines called eugenics, but on a more subtle level, even mental predispositions or psychological frailties can be improved upon, on what appears to be the subtle level of mind. Mind over matter is one way of terming it, but it appears that there is now proof that neuro-plasticity allows one to literally rewire the brain. Biofeedback is another field that provides one with the ability to actually see their body rhythms and pulses, and to manipulate them by attention. This implies that we can actually heal ourselves on a psychological level by paying attention to our mind, the way it operates and by consciously deciding to make the desired adjustments in style, attitude, perception and more. This degree of attention may be likened to mindfulness, or contemplation, self-reflection or indeed meditation.
So you are not forced to inherit the sins of the fathers, or the mindset of your parents. You can claim your own power, take your mind into your own hands and redirect your very personality. The brain itself is not hardwired for life, it is “plastic” or perhaps a better word would be “malleable”. And the technique of meditation, or simply attention and intention combined, allow us the ability to reprogramme the mind like a computer. This was unimagined by western scientists and even geneticists until very recently. Theses insights are very empowering on a personal psychological level as well as a social level. It is profound what shifts can occur when we simply shift our perception of the same reality. Perception is often based on ideas taught to us by our elders and leaders in society, but their ideas may have been erroneous from the start, and we may have adopted incomplete pictures of reality. Now, with modern scientific discoveries in neuro-plasticity as well as rediscovering ancient wisdom in the original texts on the very subject of mind and consciousness, we can reclaim our true birthright as sovereign entities filled with vast power. Every one of us could be a king or a priest if we choose and if we find the skills within ourselves, whether inherent or from training. It’s a whole new world, and we need to really question our sources of reference. Are they valid, or are they outdated, erroneous or illogical? Are they motivated by a desire for undeserved power over others, as in academia or priesthood? Ask these questions of all that you encounter. Remember your own personal power and ability, and use the present to claim your power. You have always had it, and now is the time for it to shine.
