Fish can seem a lot more intimidating once you look inside their mouths.
We seem to be getting quite a few fish as gifts recently. Basically, fishing is a lot of fun and a great way to get a meal, but if you only catch a couple, you may not want to put forth the effort of cleaning them. Since one of our friends only caught a keeper Walleye and a keeper Crappie the other day, he offered them up to us, and we gladly obliged.
Walleye is a common game fish and target species for many anglers. A lot of people have eaten it at restaurants, even if they've never caught one or seen the actual fish. As I mentioned in the opening sentence, once you look inside the mouths of some fish, they can be a lot more intimidating. This particular species sure has some impressive teeth, and I tried to capture that in these photos I took last night. Enjoy!
