The experience of a man
Unfortunate as it were
Yet a lesson to all
It happened nights ago
When the earth had worn its robe of darkness
The sons of men had returned to their shelters
Save the wanderers and the purpose drawn
The street lamps that lay dead all day
Had long arisen
With bright rays sweeping through the streets
Then was the man
Strolling into his abode
Totally unarmed
And ignorant of the looming danger
The enemy came with full force
And laid down master strategies
The enemy
A bitter soul
with frozen spirit
An unjustified rage
Bent to destroy
In his armoury
Lay neatly a thousand weapons ...
...welcome home friend
I've awaited this day
When we shall meet again
As friends we've been
The man
Shouldn't he have known?
Was he just bottled up by ignorance?
He fled not
There was not an alarm raised
Charms, could it have been?
No, I trade not that
It is one in the home of fallacy
There followed an interaction
The man was brought down
Tactics were employed
One came by the other
First it took hold of his sight
Then he neither saw nor perceived
The smell of death in the atmosphere
Gradually he was lowered into the bosom of death
The mortal as a mark of obligation
Would say rest in peace
But how can such a man rest in peace
A moment of silence for a rare gem
A fallen hero
Valiant warrior
Unbeatable conqueror
Though defeated
Battered and slain
A down pour of darkness
Descended afresh upon the night
Henceforth the man lived a walking dead
