African Fable(The Cunning Tortoise)

A long, long time ago, in the thick tropical rainforest of Africa, all animals lived in well-organized communities just like humans, with well-developed cultures, traditions, norms, and values.
Among one of their customs was that if one's parent especially mother dies, she should be given a befitting burial. There came a time when Mr. Tortoise's mother broke down and she was at the point of death and Mr. Tortoise was completely confused. The tortoise then came up with a cunning idea. He picked up a few of his clothes, shuffled them into a sack, and went off; with the excuse that he was going on a very important meeting, that if anything that is just naturally normal happens no one should send for him, they should handle it in a natural normal way until he comes. Then off, he went.
Few hours after the tortoise's departure, his sick mother gave up the ghost. Now there it was: the people reckoned Tortoise's warning to them on his departure. Now, death was a normal thing, and the only normal way to handle a dead person was to bury the person. Burry the dead without the necessary rites? No! One old man saints the abnormalities in the arena and came up with an idea. The old man sent two young men to Mr. Tortoise to tell him that: "a goat has given birth to a lion", "a plantain has yielded a palm fruit", "a man has given birth!"
On hearing the news Tortoise was so amazed and he hurriedly followed the young men home to see such a sudden abnormality of nature! But when he got home behold his mother was dead. And it was normal, so he was to do the normal things.
