A very beautiful contest is the one that asks us to tell a story and how we feel about it. All thanks to @alexanderpeace for bringing up this great contest.
My friend, Tunde is a hardworking guy and has worked for so many companies. In every company he has ever worked at, it’s either he resigns by himself or he leaves due to an issue going on but he has never been sacked because of laziness or theft before. Ever since I’ve known him, he has always wanted to make money in one way or the other providing that it is a legal means of making money.
I liked Tunde because of that and we became friends but he believes he is smarter than everyone. Sometime ago, he got employed as a sales rep in the Haansbro company in Nigeria. It’s a good and flexible job because his job was to drive their car and sell their products to people. The job allowed him to do some other hustles. Tunde felt he was smart then he got a main job that requires more attention.
Unfortunately, he could not combine the two jobs together. They were choking but he kept trying until he got queried so many times and sadly, he was sacked from the two companies almost the same period so Tunde was left with no job.
It thought me a lesson. I’m also someone who loves money a lot and sometimes, I always want to act smart but it doesn’t work for me. I learnt that we should not always act like we are smart all the time. We should never want to prove smart.
Also, Tunde never thought about the outcome of what he did before doing it. Why get another main job when you have one? You could have looked for a more flexible job instead. That’s how it should be.
It’s a lesson for we all so we can be contented with what we have.
Contentment isn’t an act but a virtue.
I invite @benton3 @bossj23 and @chilaw to participate in this contest.
