Contest 10 | My favorite outfit this week

Like they always say, sometimes life throw to us what we expect least and we just need to accept it as it comes. Today I will be participating in the @m-fdo in the Steem and fashion Community contest and be sharing my view how far this year have gone.

I must confess that there are a whole lot of outfits that I have actually in my wardrobe that are really awesome but looking back, I will actually say one of the major one that stand out for me certainly is the green native wear I actually have.

This will be my favourite outfit this week and one of the reasons why I actually like it is even beyond the colour of the clothes but it is majorly because of who gave me the clothes. I make sure that there are certain things that I did not easily forget and that is because there is someone so special to me that actually gave me this clothe. It was my brother that actually gave me these clothes which makes it so beautiful and special to me.

There are actually diverse reasons that make me to actually like this outfit. Though I touched some of the reason above but I will talk more extensively. The first is because this particular clothe and outfit whenever I wear it, it always give me this cultural pride most especially the agbada. It gives me this simplicity and also gives me this elegance. It gives me these traditional styles.

The pattern of the clothe and even the colour shows that it has this Excellence in the craftsmanship. It helps to bring out the beauty of this attire much more and gives me this cultural heritage that I value so much. Like I said earlier, the colour which is green in nature helps to give me this symbol of growth and harmony and the fact that it is deep green in colour, it makes it easy for me to actually wear these clothes out to various occasions and even formal gatherings.

Well I will say I got this particular outfit in the year 2022 when my elder brother was actually preparing for a wedding. I make sure that I actually paid for the clothes because that is one of the clothes that the men in suit should also wear.

The location was in Lagos because the wedding in the year 2022 took places in Lagos I can still remember vividly. Even though it looks like it is already 2 years now, I can still remember vividly that it has so many memories attached to that outfit and I did not always take it for granted.

Well talking about this, I will actually say it is quite typical. There are different price ranges attached to this type of cloth but I will say it is around 15,000 naira. The last time I got it in 2022 during my elder brother wedding, it was worth 10,000 naira.

Doing the calculation

• Amount in Naira = 10,000
• Value of 1 Steem = 380

Getting the value of the outfit in Steem will be

• 10,000/380 = 27 Steem

So I will say the value of this outfit in my country currency Nigeria is 10,000 naira while for Steem will be 27 Steem.
