What is your understanding of the saying “the pen is mightier than the sword”?

The saying "the pen is mightier than the sword" means that the writing and ideas can have a stronger impact on than violence or force. Words can inspire or change minds and shape societies while the physical power often only for leads to temporary control. In simple terms it is suggests that using knowledge or communication and persuasion is more powerful in the creating lasting change than the using weapons or violence. It is highlights the power of peaceful influence over the aggression.

Can words be more influential than actions?

Yes words can sometimes be more influential than the actions. Words have the power to inspire or motivate and change the way to people think. They can be spread ideas or create movements and bring about the change without any a physical action. For example the speeches or books have to sparked revolutions and changed history.

However the actions are also important because they are show commitment and make things happen. Both words and actions are powerful but the words often have a broader and also longer lasting influence.

Technology has greatly affected the debate about the words versus actions today. With the internet and social media words can be spread faster and reach more people than ever before. This makes the words very powerful in shaping opinions and also starting movements. However technology also makes it easier to see if actions is match the words.
