Greetings friends! How are you today? I hope you are all fine as I am. I want to take this moment to appreciate @pea07 for organising and sustaining this contest in the Steem Fashion & Style Community. Today, I draw a mother holding her child very close to her chest affectionately. I believe you will like my drawing for the week. Thank you.

Materials For Drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Sharpener

Step 1
I began my drawing from the head of the woman. I first outlined her long hair. After that, I drew her forehead and then her beautiful nose. I also drew her mouth and shaded it using my pencil. The next thing that followed was the drawing of her eyes. I began with the right eye followed by the left eye. I also drew the eyelashes and then the eyebrows.

Step 2
At this stage, I drew the head of the small boy who was sleeping. I outlined the hair on his head and then drew his ear. I then drew his nose and two eyes, which were closed because the baby was sleeping. I drew the eyelashes and then concluded with the drawing of the mouth.

Step 3
Here, I drew the shoulder and one hand of the baby, which he used to grab his mother's shirt. The boy's second hand is not visible because he lies on it.

Step 4
At this step, I drew the woman's hand holding the baby close to her chest. I also drew one of the baby's legs folded within the woman's hand. Finally, at this step, I showed the sleeve of the woman's shirt.

Step 5
Here, I shaded the hair on the woman's head. The hair is pathed at the centre of her head. One part of the hair is releast to the left and the other is releast to the right as seen in the drawing.

Step 6
I used my 12B pencil to shade the hair on the baby's hair and that makes the hair darker than the mothers hair.

Step 7
I shaded the sleeve of the woman's shirt. I showed how the baby grasped his mother's shirt and how the shirt squeezed at the elbow.

Step 8
This is the last step of my drawing. Here I shaded other parts of the woman's cloth and I also shaded the skin of the woman and the baby lightly using my pencil.
