The shocking moment of my life
My wife runs a point-of-service (POS) business. She started the business in the year 2022. I bought the POS machine for her and rented a shop but there was no capital to take up. For this reason, I collected a loan from an organisation I belong to at a 5% interest rate payable within 3 months of collection and gave it to her as capital.

At the end of every three months, I pay back the loan and collect again for another three months. This is how we ran the business until April 2023 when my wife called me with a neighbour's phone crying that I should come to the shop immediately.

The shocking news I received when reaching the shop was that two men had come to the shop and stole her POS bag. The back contained the POS machine, her entire capital (about 300, 000 naira cash) and two Android phones one of which was a brand new Redmi Note 12 we bought 150,000 naira three days before this incident happened to aid her in the business.

The impact of the shock

I became demoralised immediately and wasn't myself for about a week and what kept running in my mind was how can I pay back my loan, where will I get money to buy another machine and also raise start-up capital. I cried almost every day in this one week.

My hope was raised about two weeks after the incident when my pastor asked me to find out the price of a new POS machine which I did. The day I reported to him he gave me the said amount and said "GO AND START AGAIN". Individuals and groups in the church also came with encouragement and financial support.

Conclusion
Today all the debts are paid and I can say that I am a free man. All thanks to God almighty.
