The key to a more secure future lies in traditional schooling.

Hello, Fashion&Style friends,
I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on this week's contest theme, touching upon a matter as dear as it is current: the choice between homeschooling and traditional schooling.

We live in an era where technological evolution proceeds at breakneck speeds, making the educational challenge increasingly complex. This challenge is heightened for us parents who, often engaged in work, find it difficult to dedicate time to our children. I speak from direct experience: my wife and I have accompanied our daughter to preschool from her earliest steps, just as my parents did with me.

Looking back on my experiences and observing my daughter's university journey, I can only reaffirm my support for traditional education. I firmly believe that attending school in a conventional way is crucial for the balanced development of young people. Beyond the acquisition of academic knowledge, which today can also be effectively mediated by technologies, traditional schooling promotes a deep civic education and interaction with peers, essential for healthy emotional development.

The family plays a fundamental role, but there comes a time when young people must learn to navigate life's challenges on their own, and only traditional schooling can offer this opportunity, preparing them to face both successes and adversities. The pandemic experience has reinforced this conviction for me: my daughter, forced to study remotely in a period of isolation, suffered from anxiety, depression, and apathy. This demonstrates that distance from peers can have profound negative effects on psychological well-being.

Therefore, I invite you to reflect on the real effectiveness of an exclusively homeschooling education, which, while promising economic advantages for educational institutions, risks depriving our children of the essential experience of sharing and confronting with peers, fundamental for a balanced and resilient growth.

Today, looking at my daughter happily engaged in a master's program in Stockholm, I can only be grateful for the challenges and lessons learned through traditional schooling. She now faces life with courage and determination, ready to seize every new opportunity.

Thank you for taking the time to read my reflections. @ibesso

Now, I would like to invite @wakeupkitty.pal @inspiracion @yaladeeds to join this challenge

Sure thing! I think your message is clear and well-organized. You break down your points into short paragraphs, which makes it easy to follow. I like that you included specific examples for each point, such as the social interaction benefits of traditional schooling. I think you could make your message even stronger by adding a personal story or anecdote. This would give it a more human touch and make it more relatable to the reader.

Thank you @adachukwu for your appreciation and I will follow your advice👍 welcome

I strongly believe that going to school in the regular way is really important for kids to grow and develop in a well-rounded manner. It's not just about learning academic stuff, which can also be done online nowadays. Traditional schooling helps kids learn important values and it gives them a chance to interact with other kids their age. That social interaction is super important for their emotional growth and well-being. I also benefitted from it. All the best in the contest.

Thanks @triple-a we think the same way, best wishes to you too, have a good day

I am sorry to hear your daughter had a hard time during the lockdowns. Unfortunately with my children it's the opposite and they suffer at school like many other children (for different reasons).

I hope she's doing better and finds a way to 'survive' with technology because it will be the new way of schooling (although perhaps not by bots but real human) and those who can handle it will drop out, just like those who can't afford it.

☹️

Thank you Kitty, your thought consoles me. Luckily it passed. She took a short course with a psychologist and it helped her a lot. No, he's fine now, he's in Stockholm for a postgraduate master's degree, he'll be back in June. I miss her but I'm happy.
