Today, I will participate in a beautiful contest run by @ashkhan, ma'am of the Steem Fashion&style community. The name of the contest is SFS Contest! Picture of the Day Week 23 ". I hope everyone will like my writing.
The picture is of a narrow road in our village. There are palm trees on both sides of the road. Village people travel through this road. I went to the village house, walked in the afternoon, and took a picture. I took the photo in the early evening when the sun was about to set. This is my favorite photo of the day. I used to walk along this road as a child. The road can be seen from my house. Roads are very important for the farmers of the village. The road is used to bring home the crops of the land.
We have a plot of land next to the road. The palm trees seen in the picture are ours. My father planted the trees. There were many more palm trees. Due to climate change, some trees die from lightning. The scenery is very beautiful when there are crops on both sides of the road. The people of our village cultivate paddy on the land. It is winter in our country.
This is the narrowest road in our village. As it was winter and there were no crops in the fields, the boys organized cricket and football games in the field. The elderly people of the village enjoy watching the games. I spent my childhood in this village. I live in the city now for work, but I go to the village when I get leave from the office.
This road is not as developed as other roads in the village. This is what we call the village branch road. During rains, it is difficult for farmers to move through this road. Our agricultural lands are being destroyed due to population growth. Once, there were many trees on both sides of this road. People have built new houses on the side of the road. So, day by day, the number of trees in the village is decreasing, and the effect of climate change is being seen.

Your memories are very touching and beautifully narrated. Your childhood memories of the narrow village roads, rows of palm trees, date palms and the scenes of crops in the fields are truly fascinating.
The incidents you have shared clearly portray the picture of rural life. Those days of trampling through the mud on rainy days, boys playing cricket and football in the fields, and cultivating rice in the fields occupy a special place in your mind, which is very natural and eternal.
As you have said, the number of trees is decreasing and agricultural land is being destroyed due to climate change, which is really a matter of concern. Nevertheless, the pictures of this narrow road in your village and your memories bring to our minds the natural beauty and the simplicity and elegance of rural life.
