SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 13

Let me share with you the sad story of my pet.

They say the best care givers are the ones who take care of animals. I don't know if my best was enough. But I think it wasn't. Nevertheless no one knows if it was your time of departure but God, I wish you were in heaven waiting for me or will I take too long to arrive or will those memories be long forgotten or will you have grown the previous size you left me? I think if pets were to be in paradise I would prefer you (choose you).

Pets has always been great companions. Let me talk on my dog. Captain was a very fair-furred dog from the local breed. Everyone seems to admire her so much that I play often with Captain. When I return from lecture, I will always be happy that captain was available each time I come back. Without seeing my siblings and neighbors I would go with Captain to animal hurting. In a thick bush. I will not even be afraid because captain is by my side. Captain happens to be like a guard to me. At my age, I had no strength to defend captain but she was always there for me. You can imagine the kind of confidence I have with Captain by my side.

How captain got missing even up till today, it so pathetic.
If captain have suffered from infection/ diseases and maybe got died in my presence for me to see the carcass and maybe give her a befitting burial it would have been better than disappearing into the thin air. I know captain was jealous because of her beauty. No one in my area had such a dog that can understand English fluently like how captain did.

I waited for weeks for captain to return it turns out that the more I waited, the more false my hope was. If I happen to be in America, I would have reported this case to the police and maybe captain would have been traced and rescued. Before the animal kidnapper switch to plan B. But it was quit unfortunate reporting such a case here in my country would be a high level of mockery to their profession. After waiting for some weeks, I concluded that captain was died. Rest in peace captain. Sorry to say this but the kidnap of captain sustain a hole dip in my heart and refilling is hard.
I know it will take long before the gap is filled as one who experienced what it means to lose a pet. Getting a dog like captain is hard. Sadly, I pray God refills this gap soon.
