Greetings all, I'm here to participate in the Weekly Contest, Draw a strawberry Week#19, hosted in Steem Fashion&Style community.

I remember participating in a similar contest that used to happen on Steem for Pakistan. I'm glad to be participating here today with this week's theme focusing on, the Strawberry.

Strawberries are yet another gift from nature. These pretty little bunnies charm everyone with their delicious taste. The first fruit to ripen in spring, hence nature's way of greetings spring. Isn't that simply incredible?

Materials

I used following materials to make my drawing.
• Pencil, eraser
• Sketchbook (I'm using my journal)
• Black Pointer
• Colours

let's draw!

First, I made a light sketch with a pencil, and then drew the seeds and leaves. After the rough sketch was ready, I outlined the drawing with a black pointer.

Cool bug facts: The strawberry seeds are actually individual fruits called achenes, and they’re all attached to what’s called a fleshy receptacle. Together, the seeds (tiny fruits) and the fleshy receptacle make up a strawberry.

The average strawberry has 200 seeds. So that makes 200 fruits! And strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside. Damn! I like seeds.

Time to color!

From the inspiration picture the seeds were yellow, they are black I don't why they were yellow tho, anyways I still did them yellow. Filled green in the leaves. Next, I took three shades of red and started shading my lil strawberry twin boys. Shading is sexy and is somehow my favorite part.

But

I didn't stop here because just making a strawberry wasn't a challenge. I wanted to do something different.

I drew some sweet dishes incorporating strawberries (I don't think I'll ever eat strawberry this way) also, made more strawberries and a strawberry flower.

and a lil fella!

This was in my mind since I saw the contest. I took the idea from a cow my sister made last year. A strawberry cow. But instead of making a cow, I decided to make something else, a parrot.

Love birds are small and cute, and these little wonders of nature are very colorful. So, I gave this cutie strawberry colors. Inspiration picture I feel like eating it now.

Say hi to Mr. Berry. Either this cute handsome boy likes to eat strawberries or he is a strawberry himself, A strawberry king! You can decide.
