DEBATE NO. 23: THE PAST VS THE FUTURE

Good day fellow Steemians, This is my opinion on this beautiful recent contest by @sahmie Our past vs The Future.

Many of us are were we are today courtesy of our inputs in the past, so the past and the future will always relate to make time relevant in the human race. So follow me on this article to find out if I prefer my past or future life.

Growing up I had dreams of being an ICT technician, music popstar and also a fashion/style model, all the same, my academic life has never been out of the plan because like I wrote first, I wanted to be an ICT Technician so bad, so yes all my life from childhood has been a majorly about my entertainment career & fashion especially after Secondary School. While taking exams and waiting for admission into high school I was already so involved in the entertainment industry and fashion industry even until I completed my program at the tertiary institution. I had a lot of fun entertaining quite a number of my music lovers and also thrilling my fashion lovers, below are some of my throwback pictures on stage and on interview with Nigerian Popular Artiste Iyanya.

So yes, you see my past is filled with thrilling experience I must confess. But yes, let’s move to the next chapter of my life because like the wise ones says ”time flies like a thief in the night”.

I’m very optimistic about life, I believe we evolve everyday, our present and future life to me is the result of the energies we had put into our past life.

Yes, we might put in everything, try our 100 percent best but human circumstances happens which we can’t control causing setbacks to our already planned future. So yes, where I am today is as a result of all what I put in yesterday. I currently have a tech shop here in Uyo which has always been my number one dream, I have pilled up songs ongoing rehearsals to put them out and planning on a fashion style exhibition by next year. So yes my future is already going as I planned despite all disappointments and setbacks.

Yes, I won’t lie about having regrets of missing out on opportunities that would have changed my life around and craving times where we lived comfortably well and achieved some great heights, but trust me, I have learnt and achieved alot so my future is my pick over the past anytime, anyday.

There’s alot of similarities in my past and present journey, like you see it’s been same vision over a decade I must say and also being a very optimistic person, I am crazy about things I’ve not seen nor do, so nothing about my past intrigues me that much, I just learn and never get stucked in there. So if I’m choosing between my past and my future, I’ll definitely choose my future because there’s been a lot of improvement and new things I have done which I wasn’t able to do back then and most importantly my view and reasoning about life has grown to a standard.

To you reading this, my advice to you is that you should stop living in regrets over your past, start doing something new and each time life hits so hard on you. Consider taking recreational activities e.g swimming, take a long walk, excercise and lot’s more.
