A village is a small, rural settlement typically consisting of a small group of houses and associated buildings and in other words it’s a small, densely populated area usually found in the countryside whereas a city is defined as a highly populated urban region that is an administrative, cultural and economic centre of a region or country and are known for their modern amenities, diverse population, and fast-paced lifestyle. .Rural and urban lives are quietly different, and their difference makes them unique and beautiful. Villages are known for their smaller geographic or territorial extension that primarily identifies rural life. People in villages know each other by their names and faces and can talk to them directly.Thus a primary relationship exist between them.A city is a larger area, and people can’t know each other directly and the relationship that they share among one another is secondary or indirect.

What are the advantages of living in the city than in village?

Katherine Langer says;
“The seeds of civilization are in every culture, but it is the city that brings them to fruition”
Urban life comes up with a varied range of professions and there is no one crucial occupation. Every job receives appropriate attention, and people have a vast choice of occupations. However in villages,. people mostly have common occupations, and the range of professions is comparatively narrow. People who commit crimes in villages are subjected to social isolation and are shunned by others. Power via folkways and mores is more prevalent than control via established decrees. The accused becomes a subject of gossip and ridicule. For example, if a man comes home drunk and causes chaos, he is shunned by other villagers. Presenting the accused before Panchayat also pretty much leads to the same consequences.

But urban life is controlled by-laws and codes. Folkways and mores, along with social isolation, do not play a key role in social control. In cities, the person who commits sins is directly presented in front of judges or police if a man gets drunk and hits his wife, domestic violence if filed against him.

The division of labor is prevalent in cities as trained people do their part of the job making output more significant and better than villages where everyone who does his work is not adequately trained in it. Thus, the quality of the work is low.Moreover, cities are flooded with many educational and medical health facilities that are not present in villages.

What are the advantages of living in the village than in city?

“A village is the hive of glass,where nothing unobserved can pas
(Charles Spurgeon)

Though cities have many advantages but we can’t deny the importance of rural areas.village life is not as affected by pollution like urban life is as there are fewer automobiles in villages, and industrial sectors are absent. So, air pollution is lower, and the air is purer.Thus village life offers a cleaner and greener environment.Because of the poisonous gases and smoke released from vehicles and factories as well as the hazardous industrial discharge, affects not only human but wild and marine life is also disturbed. Therefore, people living in cities go to villages during their vacations to take a break from the polluted and contaminated, suffocated and congested urban environment.

Among the two,which is the most nature friendly? Give reasons.

“Nature is the purest portal to inner-peace”
(Angie Weiland Crosby)

Both the cities and villages have their pros and corns. Village life is more robust due to the necessary facilities like schools and hospitals being far away. But, we must acknowledge both and choose what suits our needs. But if we compare both on the basis of nature, then there is no contrary to say that villagers live in the lap of nature.Villages are spell bounded with fresh air, peace and relaxation and make a perfect balance between the man-made and nature.

Villages are idyllic places with huts and homes made with clay, mud, or wood that give the villages a charming, rustic atmosphere.Fresh air and chirping of birds fill the atmosphere with necromancy, making a village the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.People can enjoy the fantastic beauty of the bright sun, the lovely moon, stars, the sweet song of birds and gardens with their fruits and flowers. With less congestion in villages, air pollution levels are lower and pollution-related health issues are minimal.
