SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 19

Growth is always constant as we see ourselves growing everyday. In this contest I will be talking about the memories of my primary school days, the days of my life in which I was always happy and calm, I never knew life was this hard. My primary school days was fun and I always enjoy the inter-house sports period then. @ashkan thanks for still organizing this incredible contest.

Memories of primary school inter-house sport

When I entered primary school I was given new uniforms, though this particular school Graduate Nursery & Primary School, was the second primary school I attended. I was so happy to be in a new school and I was given the yellow house uniform while they gave my younger sister purple. My younger brother was baby then but when he started school he was given yellow house uniform which was similar to mine and my dad wasn't ok with that at all.

My dad insisted that the three of us should be in different houses so my mum told those in charge of giving uniforms to new students and they gave my younger brother green house uniform. When I was in Primary three I was opportuned to participate in a particular activity in inter-house sports, my house selected me as one of the pupils that will do march past that day and I was so excited.

I have forgotten the games my siblings played in their house that day and I knew my house won the inter-house sports competition that day, I was so excited because of this. My mum called a photographer to take pictures of my siblings and I, we were so small and innocent and I noticed my face still looks the same till now. We took our picture in which my mum joined us while carrying our last born who was less than a year old then.

That inter-house sports day was very lively, there are pupils who participated in race and my house had faster runners, we won so many games that day and this is the reason we won. I wasn't a fast runner then, that's why I wasn't selected to partake in relay race but now I believe am a fast runner now. Red house took last position that day and I was happy that non of my siblings were in that house because they will start crying at home that their house didn't win.

Since when I was in primary school I noticed that Red house always take last positions in inter-house sports competition and I noticed this in other schools when I entered secondary school and I always wonder if it was a curse. Red house took last position three times in a row when I was in primary school. Is recently that Red houses stopped taking last positions in other schools.
