SFS Contest Week 7 | Shocking Moments

It's week 7 of the shocking moments contest which usually organised here by @ashkhan and today I want to share my own story of shocking moments in my life and what I have learnt from it.

Every story has a moral lesson whether the story is for entertainment or not, there is always a moral lesson to learn from it and that is why when we were much younger our parents sits is down and tell us some story that keeps ringing in our minds as we continue to grow.

My story about the shocking moment

I was just sitting when I heard that those incharge of light distribution have come to cut our light because we haven't payed our bills. I was then called out so that we can know what to do so that the don't cut it because once they cut the light it will take days before it will get reconnected and also we will have to pay for reconnection fees.

I came out and we pleaded with those who came for the job and told them that they didn't bring bills to us and that is the reason we haven't gone to their office to make the payment. While we were still talking they told one of their member to rush to the office and bring the bills available because they couldn't distribute it all they day they came because we weren't at home.

So we were there alongside other members of the compound looking for ways to sort the bills because we had to contribute some money and then gather it to pay whichever amount they say we will be paying.

While we were still discussing, the team that came around received a phone call that the person they sent had an accident and he died at the spot. It was indeed a shocking moment for everyone who was standing there waiting because we never expected that the person that was sent will die by accident on that very time.

The team that came around became very weak and they couldn't continue their work for the day because of the dead of their colleagues which came unexpected. Myself I was so shocked that a very elegant young boy who was filled of life will just die.

I sat down confuse and shock and then I said to myself that could have been me or any other person. I said if they hadn't send him to go get this bills maybe he could have still been alive. A lot of thought was just coming into my mind because it was indeed an unexpected scenario.

Lesson Learnt

After seen what has happened, I came.to conclusion that we all are just travelers in this world and sooner or later we too may pass away. So all one need to do is to always get himself or herself prepared because we don't know the hour or the time when we also will die.

This incident made me to reflect deeply on my life as a person because I believe if we have the privilege to asked the young man if he is ready or not he will tell you he is not ready and if he had the power to change the scenario he could have done it.
