Introduction

Welcome to my blog. Today I will be participating in the engagement challenge that talks about our cultural fashion. Since culture is a way of live of people in a particular place, you will agree with me that every culture has their own way of dressing. That being the case, please read through as I will be displaying my cultural fashion in this article.

⭐What is your specific cultural attire and how frequently do you wear it?

My specific cultural dress or attire is a wrapper material popularly known as 'Ankara'. It is won by men and women, young and old. Have a look at me wearing this popular material below.

The above picture is my husband and I wearing one of our popular cultural attire.

Another popular cultural attire is the lace material.
This lace material is also won by everyone but most especially women.

⭐List and describe the activities for which you use this cultural attire.

My cultural attire is won in different activities like;

• Religious Program

• Wedding parties

• Funeral

• Naming ceremony etc

• Religious program: When going for a religious program, everyone is espected to dress decently and responsibly. And as a result of that, we usually wear attires that is generally accepted by the environment and the one that befit and dignify the occasion. Such attires are ankara material and lace and a few other outfit that will dignify the occasion.

• Wedding parties: Here in my country, wedding is seen as another dignify occasion where special dressing is required. In most cases the bride and the groom will choose special type of material or sometimes colours for the bride's and groom's friends. These friends are expected to dress differently from other people who will be attending the wedding.

⭐Do you think your cultural attire is unique and how much does it cost in your country's currency?

My cultural attire is unique in its own way. Some of them are very expensive while some are not expensive, that is to say they are affordable.
Like the ankara materials some of them are #2,000 (Two thousand niara only) while some are up to #15,000 to #20,000 (fifteen to twenty thousand naira only).
The price of these materials varies depending on where it is bought and the time and season of the year.
