Knowledge is better than wealth |
---|
knowledge is better than wealth carrys the idea that having information or an understanding of a subject is more valuable and preferable than having tangible and perishable goods or monetary wealth.
The ideology that knowledge can bring important output and possibilities over a period of time, as against riches, which might be ephemeral and can be lost or by any sudden incident is the foundation of this concept.
Inclusively individuals can be empowered to make educated decisions and to take charge of their lives through acquiring of information, whereas wealth does not necessarily bring this kind of confidence to individuals. It is for this reason that it is commonly expected that knowledge is an asset that is both more valuable and more lmportant to be maintained throughout time.
knowledge is a more better and enduring asset than wealth” from the origin it is belief that knowledge can provide long-term benefits and opportunities, whereas wealth can be ephemeral and can be lost or taken away.
This belief serves as a bed rock supporting the hypothesis that “knowledge is a more valuable and enduring asset than wealth.”
A person’s ability to pursue a desired profession or to make well-informed choices that can have a good impact or effect on their life, for instance, can be facilitated by possessing knowledge about a particular area of study or talent in that area.
On the other hand, having a lot of money does not on its own serves as a criteria that you will have access to possibilities like these. In addition, knowledge is something that can be obtained and expanded upon over the course of one’s existence but wealth is something that can be drained or lost as it is achievable which can also be wasted if not properly maintained.
It is for this reason that it is commonly asserted that knowledge is an asset that is both more valuable and more likely to be maintained throughout time.
“There are those who seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge; that is Curiosity.
There are those who seek knowledge to be known by others; that is Vanity.
There are those who seek knowledge in order to serve; that is Love.”
― Bernard of Clairvaux
Knowledge give room to learn more develop more and create avenue to understand more in the other hand wealth trigger confusion personal desire and completion which is not suppose to be the sold him of mankind
Wealth is measurable, but knowledge is not. There are situations or occasions where wealth may fail you, but knowledge will take the place of pride For example, you cannot buy knowledge; you need to work hard through research and intensive study to acquire and obtain it. Moreover, with money, which is a measure of wealth, you can purchase things. But if you want to buy the right things and long lasting valuable you need to have the correct knowledge of that thing you wish to buy.
the possibilities to go bankrupt or lose one’s wealth due to bad investments or mismanagement of the wealth is of a greater percentage but you cannot run out of knowledge unless you do not have the knowledge in the first place
Posterity remembers and celebrates people who used their knowledge to improve the world and make it a more better and developed, comfortable, and beautiful place. People hardly remember wealthy people who did not contribute anything to the development of one's mind or the world in general
It is worthy of Note that "the person who has knowledge can acquire wealth, but wealth in itself cannot buy knowledge" One needs to be passionate about knowledge acquisition.
Most of the evils that people do or involves in society such as kidnapping, insurgency, terrorism, banditry, etc are caused by a lack of the right kind of knowledge or outright ignorance. This is essentially caused by the failure of the family as the elementary sector of socialization, the uninspired educational system, and visionless leadership.
As stated in the quote attributed to Bernard of Clairvaux, do you seek knowledge for the sake of curiosity, to be known by others, or in order to serve? Of course, it goes without saying that the best reason to seek knowledge is to serve others – that’s how you can impact on humanity and lives a worthy lifes and a worthy legacy for posterity.

Your points are explicit. I would chose knowledge over wealth, wealth can be lost with time, but no one can take away knowledge from someone who has it.
