Steemit Learning Challenge S21/W1: "Frozen Shoulder".
✅ What's frozen shoulder? Write in your own words after gating knowledge from the lesson post.

Usually people suffering from diabetes or thyroid problems after a long time can suffer from shoulder pain. In some cases, it may be seen that a shoulder injury or an accident can cause a long time later. Moreover, those with long-term inflammatory problems or inflammation may also be affected.

In medical terms this part is from the fingers of the hand to the shoulder up to the work up to the upperlim. Our shoulders can be moved at 360 degree angles.Movement can be done i.e. all kinds of work but we do it with this shoulder. When we work at different angles we feel our pain in the shoulder join with our hands. There are some movement tendons in the muscles for all movements, usually these tendents help the muscles move up and down.If for some reason the eight tendons are damaged due to any reason, it can cause shoulder pain.

Frozen shoulder has three stages -

Freezing Painful Phase - May cause pain for three to six months and even during sleep at night.

The stiffness phase-new phase can have six to ten month.

Thawing phage or rocovery stage and this phase can have 12-18 months.

And within 1-2 years the stages of the frozen shoulder automatically recover.

Frozen shoulder is called Adhesive capsulitis.

Why is frozen shoulder? When our capsulitis causes thickening or capsule tightening, movement loss occurs.

  • As a result of the pain we reduce our movement then the capsule starts to thickening.

We have repeated strain due to some activity i.e. excess movement and feel a lot of pain due to excess movement in hand in that case friction cause is caused by repeated movement due to that friction cause due to our inflammation.

Why is it when our capsulitis causes movement loss due to thickening or capsules being tight.
As a result of the pain we reduce our movement then the capsule starts to thickening.

Inflammation continues to cause fibrosis, a process of healing begins in fibrosis and this is why thickening of capsules begins.
Whenever the capsule starts to thickening, it starts to be painful. And this thickening cause does Adhesive. And that's why we call Frozen Shoulder ADHESIVE CAPSULITIS.

Cause of Frozen Shoulder

Shoulder related or Non shoulder related.

  • Trauma or for some reason the patient also had an accident as a result of which the patient's shoulder has to be put on rest, the movement is decreasing.
  • Tndinitis If a sudden movement causes a tendon injury or tension, if rest is to be taken, the need can be solder|
  • Rotator cuff injury.
  • Over use and faulty movement due to excessive exercise and incorrect exercise.

Usually, due to not sleeping properly, weight can be Frozen Shoulder
. In this case, in many cases, keeping the hands under the head for a long time while sleeping can cause tension in the muscles or tendons, then such problems may occur
In addition, for many reasons, frozen sardar can be caused directly by someone specific to whom, other such as hormonal problems or diabetes, capsules may become thickening.

I have some opinions of my own about frozen shoulder, and I am also a frozen shoulder patient so I am discussing my problems.

But the disease starts with solder pain and reaches the fingers. Whenever the pressure of the hand falls a little too much in any of our work or activity, the shoulder pain starts in the initial stage. When the pain becomes severe, it becomes impossible to move the hand, in which case this symptom increases. And that's when we turn to the doctor.

In the initial stage, the problems I had were that the fingers of my hands were shaking, when the pressure of the hands fell on the top, the pain and wrinkles increased. At one point, it was seen that the hands could not be moved and became completely paralyzed. And the pain slowly subsides.Basically, it's muscle pain, sometimes if the pressure of work increases and in that case, it turns out that the soldier's muscles open and swell. Can't move hands or do any work then. Sometimes in the shoulder joint, sometimes in the hand, sometimes in the hand rest, and finally in the fingers. Then the fingers become paralyzed. My fingers are clingy and of course only when I'm moving the hand pressure upwards while doing my work. After working continuously for 10 to 15 minutes, the entire fingers are completely frozen, and very painfull.just then I release the pressure down my hand and it stays still for a while, so my hands and fingers tingling go away.

Currently, women are more likely to develop the disease than most diabetics or other patients. No matter how much we resort to doctors? Main problem is never examining. Treatment is completed with only medicine, exercise, therapy.Women are mostly deficient in iron and vitamin D. That's why women are more likely to get this disease. I had vitamin and iron deficiencies when I was diagnosed.

I have also been suffering from disease for 10 years from the primary stage. And its main treatment is exercise. So from this post of yours I learned some new exercises which will benefit me a lot later.

✅How would you diegnose a frozen shoulder? Any clinical investment or assessment tests?

.A long time ago I don't know why this problem happened to me but 15 years ago I once fell down the stairs to save the whole body when I put my body pressure on the palms of my hands.
Immediately I had pain in my hands and waist but I didn't care which doctor showed me and then I didn't feel any pain. At that time I used to work at home and do a little less, especially no hand pressure workI didn't have to do any work at home, I was busy with my studies

1½ years later it turned out I couldn't lift any heavy weight with my right hand in particular or take it in my hand I know why the hand hurt. And whose joints were shaking and whose joints were hurting and the pain slowly moved towards the hands and then I saw that the fingers were having trouble moving and the fingers were frozen. And every morning when I woke up, it was seen that I could not move my right hand, they felt like the whole body was a little tingling, and my pain was a pain all over my body. About half an hour after waking up, I moved my hands or limbs all over my body a little, so the pains felt less later.Because of sleeping, the blood circulation of different parts of the whole body may be fixed, oxygen could not reach the blood well, so maybe there is such a tingling in place

Then when I saw that when I went to eat something, I had to lift my hand up from my body, in that case the hand was very painful and a little tingling. After 15 days like this I showed an orthopedic doctor, he x-rayed my shoulder, saw the report and said I had Cervical Spondylitis in my shoulder. Gave me therapy for a week and some calcium tablets. A week of therapy and medication, no heavy lifting. Then my pain went away. I didn't have this problem after that. But again after a year it was found that the fingers of the hand are flickering and I can't lift any heavy weight especially when eating rice the problem would increase. In that case, I would do two exercises without knowing it was my right and my left hand at an angle of 360 degrees, turning the clock again and ten times against the clock. It went on like this for about two to three years.

Then when I went to the doctor again, I had an MRI full body. This caused pain from my back pain to my fingers. Since then till now I am now suffering from various pain disorders. And since I'm a diabetic patient, sometimes have shoulder pain, sometimes hand pain, sometimes finger pain and tingling. So constantly exercise. But sometimes I don't exercise when it increases.

Currently, now this pain of my soldier has become so severe from hands to fingers, now the fingers of both hands start rubbing all day long when writing or eating something, then the amount of tingling increases. Then immediately I put it down, which makes the feeling less.

Here is the screenshot of the Xray report and ultrasound which was diagnosed as per the doctor's advice

✅ Try to practice at lead 3 exercises that you have learned from the lesson. Share images, gifs or videos while practicing.

Physical Therapy Intervention for Frozen Shoulder
Exercise that is the first lesson in your choice

#Wand Shoulder Flxison

This exercise is done by me to raise both hands up and down equally, but if my hand and shoulder pain increases, I can't do this exercise more than ten times, so it hurts to lift my hand up.

Second Exercise Solder Circle

I've never done this exercise.I tried this exercise after watching your video. This exercise has to be performed in performance forward and backward which we can spin at 360 degree angles. But this exercise I've practiced a few times. First of all it was a little hard to do especially the solder felt a lot of pain. But I like this exercise pretty much.

But another exercise I do in this solder circle is that I rotate the whole hand once to the right 360 degrees and turn the creation 360 degrees to the left. Much I'm pain-free..

image.png

This was my first exercise and this exercise was a very useful exercise especially from solder to hand with whole body movement through exercise

Isometric cervical flex

I do it all the time and doing this exercise goes away with the pain in the neck. Hand pressure in the forehead with hand pressure on one side and head on the other. In this way, you have to give 10 seconds pressure on the right, left, front, back of the head with your hands. It reduces a lot from neck pain.

IMG_5998.JPG

The rule I do this exercise every day is to press something in one hand and let go of the other hand and move back and forth for 10 seconds.

Doing this finger ladder exercise increases solder flaxation improve solder restriction of joint.I do this leader exercise with my daily exercise.

image.pngimage.png

So from the exercises shown by your teaching team, I do the above exercises regularly at home.
And if you exercise every day, the pain in the hands and shoulders will be reduced and you can stay healthy.

I do solder and another hand exercise that your teaching team has not given this exercise. That is, the elbow should be folded and placed on the shoulder and the elbow should be pressed with the other hand and you should be pressed upwards from below. Thus 10 seconds. This exercise has to be done consecutively with both hands

✅Share your review after perfecting theses exercises either on healthy indicative or patient.

Generally, the first medicine for this disease is regular exercise, especially the exercises that Dr. advises should be done at least once a day. In this way, if the exercises of the frozen shoulder can be done daily, then the pain of the solder can be freed from pain, moreover, the doctor advises some therapy as needed. With therapy and and exercise we can benefit a lot.

I do back pain, knee exercises apart from hands and shoulders so I benefited more from your teaching team, learned new ones and after doing these new exercises I definitely got a lot of benefits. I don't just exercise, I do hot water treatment in places where I have pain.

IMG_5996.JPGIMG_5997.JPG

But if I can't exercise continuously for a few days, but my pain increases, then I apply painkillers. Give hot water heat over that place. And stop exercising for a while. If there is more pain, then exercise again, the pain increases.

  • In the community, therefore, every exercise in this community will be very beneficial, especially those who have this frozen shoulder problem, so I hope the next challenge few more videos will be on physical exercise.

Due to some of my restrictions I didn't share my exercise physical exercise videos I just gave screenshots .

Observations

Task 1 (2.8/3)
You have shared a great knowledge about frozen shoulder, its stages, and types and also shared details of each thing, that is the best part of your answer. But you can also add the phases of a frozen shoulder, like acute, subacute and chronic phases. I appreciate your effort.

Task 2 (2.8/3)
In the second question, you write about the shoulder examination, assessment, ROM measurements and investigations to complete the diagnosis. You also share your history of frozen shoulder, if you have diabetes then you have more than 80 to 90% change to develop frozen shoulder. That's good you have take treatment for the disease. If you feel the constant pain then you should avoid that posture which is causing the pain and increasing it too. You can add at least 1 or 2 special tests like speed test, yergason test, and many more. You answer this question very well. Excellent.

Task 3 (3.8/4)
You try the wand shoulder flexion, shoulder circles and cross body stretch, isometric cervical flexion in a good way. As you have history of Cervical Spondylitis so neck isometrics are best for cervical issues. It would be better if you share pictures of making position for exercise and final position while performing exercises. Remember always apply heating pad before performing these exercises and stop exercise if you feel unbearable pain as some exercise triggers the pain. I appreciate your efforts.

Overall you made a great attempt to answer all the questions. I appreciate your efforts. But next time try to avoid the above written suggestions. Keep learning and try to implement your knowledge to the people suffering from any shoulder pathology and If you suffer from such condition again. Thank you.
