Witnesses, what are your thoughts: Hardfork for automated #burnsteem25 for posts

Thank you @symbionts for your comprehensive feedback and for the expanding your views and not only concentrating on one point that I brought up. The whole goal was to "shake up" sleeping giants our Witnesses and to let people think, discuss and argue but at the end with a hope that something will come out of this discussion.

I agree with this statement:

But currently, most whales and large accounts use an elaborate system of vote circling. Instead of being able to reward a more thriving blockchain by supporting new users, we have basically the same individuals extracting value and just hoping that something will happen and go out before the ship sinks.

Obviously, many large accounts have delegated their Power to delegation bots, the only who remained for small users we have to admit is the Steemit Team. No matter what is behind their action but there are multiple Initiatives they created:

  • Ongoing Diary game

  • engagement challenges

  • multiple Donation and Sponsoring people in need like Ukraine users in time of war, Donation for Turkey Earthquake, many users who undergoing cancer treatment. We are organising many Crowdfunding and we can fully rely on Steemit Team who definitely will be there themselves without much asking

  • there are SCXX accounts who daily support users

  • there are two large accounts SC01/02 who daily visiting many Steemians around the blockchain

When I look back it was never so many Initiatives before in old Steemit for simple users but also it was never possible to become an "Orca" during so little time.

Of course, we know that and people in developing countries know that because they see practical example.

One could imagine if, suddenly, we told investors that from now on, your yield will be reduced by 25%. They will have a considerable urge to switch to another chain and subjecting STEEM to a huge selling pressure on their way out.

As to the % of automated burn Steem, it could be also discussed and agreed even to lower percent that should be acceptable for everyone, that is also better for small account to be able to keep more of their small rewards.

Or maybe something like @moecki mentioned in his comment:

directly burn part of the STEEM produced with each block so that it is not available for the reward fund.

At the end blockchain has to live and not survive for that we need variety of function and offers, once again something like gaming Splinterlands, when they left there were many users who left with them too. Steem is not only producing post place, but I think the developers should perhaps bring some bright ideas. Unfortunately, I am not an IT specialist and have no idea and to re-learn it might takes few years, but I am pretty sure there are some people, at least I hope who could have better solution.

It is a time for change, but it is us who should be willing to change ourselves all together.

I am grateful for you @symbionts for taking time and for sharing your thoughts and point of view, really appreciate it,
