Introducing Week 2 of Steemit Quiz 2025 and a new style of play.

Thank you to everybody who got involved in Week 1 of the quiz. I found it to be an enjoyable week and I learnt a few things along the way (especially regarding question difficulty) which will lead me to continue tweaking the format as we go along.

For me, the most enjoyable questions were in Round 2, where the initial answer wasn't obvious and some required hints to solve. This led me to upping the difficulty level of the initial questions as the interaction dynamics were the part that I enjoyed the most.

Rule Update - Multiple Attempts Allowed

Building upon the rules outlined in the Steemit Quiz Introduction Post, it made sense to adjust the rules.

To keep the open questions fluid and so as not to deter people from trying to answer (and also to keep you addicted), an incorrect answer will not eliminate you from the question entirely.

However, you must wait a minimum of 6 hours before trying again.

Rankings After Week 1

Two Shreks and One Fiona (@bluelavender, @alexanderkass and @henryclive) have come out of the blocks quickly and established an early lead of 6.5 points (earning each team member 4% of this post's rewards). Oops-a-lot (@mojociocio and @ady-was-ere) are also putting in a good performance and find themselves in 2nd. NO team (@chriddi) and @pennsif chipped in with a couple of good answers too.

The annual prize pool (ignoring my upvotes and beneficiary from these posts) has made it to roughly 21 STEEM after Week 1.

Week 2 Approach

Building upon the interaction element mentioned above, and;

• The unforseen situation today where the-mrs-gorilla was bed ridden and I had 2 feral animals to look after and;

• Some feelings that having multiple open questions felt chaotic...

I'm going to ask 1 question at a time and leave it open until it is solved. So rather than having set Rounds of 10 Questions, each week could see any number of questions asked and answered depending upon how quickly you, the players, solve them.

This will also mean that I won't necessarily be sticking to 1 topic and I will highlight the Question category when I ask it.

This will hopefully simplify the quiz, increase interaction / competition and continue to allow me to adjust to the elements that you enjoy.

As I did with the individual rounds, I'll keep track of the questions and who answered them correctly in a Question Tracker Comment. If you hadn't noticed this in Week 1, it's a useful way to jump to the latest question as I always update the links as I add the new questions.

With each question, I'll try to keep it updated with any hints that are shared throughout, so that you don't need to scour the comments for any of my subtle hints - of which there'll probably still be plenty.

To start off Week 2, I'll finish off the unanswered questions from Week 1 and rather than wait until tomorrow, things will kick off straight away in the comments below.
