Hey all!
This beauty came into my yard looking pretty rough, she was so tired she didn’t mind at all when I picked her up and brought her to some food. I mixed some raw honey and water, and laid out some orange pieces, not knowing at the time what she would prefer.

Upon further reading, I discovered that this species enjoys the saps of trees mostly, and is probably the first spring butterfly you’ll see in western Canada! They are common all over and usually nest in leaves until early spring.
She has beautiful colours and now visits the garden every sunny day!
I put out food for her and will have some flowers out soon as well.
Hope you’re all doing great!
Take care!!
