My preparation to "Welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan".

One of the aims and objectives of Ramadan is to gain nearness to Allah through fasting. Preparing before Ramadan does not mean preparing to gather a large collection of food; Instead, the key is to prepare yourself spiritually. Ramadan is a blessed month, a month of forgiving sins and getting close to Allah. So for this month we have to pray to Almighty Allah. And on the 30th-29th of this month, along with the fast, other important acts should be observed. To prepare for good deeds, this dua should be repeated more and more.

Here are some of my preparations to welcome the Holy month of Ramadan :

  • I will repent sincerely. Repentance is obligatory at all times. Because as I am approaching a great month, I think to enter this month of Ramadan with a pure and peaceful heart and to engage in obedience and worship of Allah.

  • I will pray more and more because may Allah keep me physically healthy and give me life till Ramadhan with good deen.

  • Expressing gratitude to Allah for the imminent arrival of Ramadan because as a Muslim, receiving the month of Ramadan is a special blessing from Allah. Knowing the importance of fasting and the virtues of Ramadan.

  • To try to quickly finish the tasks that may hinder the Muslim's worship during Ramadan.

  • Keeping some fasts in the month of Sha'ban in preparation for Ramadan fasts.

A special tradition in my country to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.

Family, community or group members sit together and eat sumptuous food to break the fast. Devout Muslims begin their fast by eating the first Sehri of the holy month of Ramadan. Following the tradition of old Dhaka, the Kasidars wake up the fasting people on the first day of Ramadan. Dhaka Muslims had various preparations for Ramadan.

Various arrangements are made to welcome this holy month, iftar or fasting, organization of tarabi, formation of youth group to wake up people in sahri, organization of Qasida. In those days, each ritual of fasting was a wonderful example of joy and social interaction. Bangladeshi Iftar includes Jilapi, Muri, Halim, Dates, Samosa, Dalpuri, Pitha, Aloo Chop, Singara, Beguni, Piyaju, Chhola, Ghugni, Amitti, Bundia, Nimki, Pakora, Khaja, Batasa etc. Bengalis love to have Iftar with their family and friends with a variety of dishes.

My hope in the holy month of Ramadan this year.

One of the five pillars of Islam is fast. And observing fast in the month of Ramadan is obligatory. Therefore, the main task of the month of Ramadan is to fast according to the Sunnah. Every year I look forward to becoming a true believer by applying the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan. My special desire in this month is to sincerely do good deeds for the pleasure of Allah and dedicate myself to the path of Allah by repenting and attaining good deeds.

Ramadan is the month of mercy, blessings and freedom. This month is a special mercy and blessing from God. A season of earning great rewards and good profits through abundant work. This Ramadan month the Holy Quran was revealed. It is the month of the Quran. Therefore, one of the tasks in this month is to recite the Quran more and more. In the Hadith, Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'Whoever recites a letter of the Qur'an, a good deed is given to him. Each neki is equal to ten neki.

Some tips for fasting throughout the day.

If you fast all day, you will naturally feel hungry and tired. But this time instead of eating heavy food, eat liquid food, which will give your body energy. There are a few tips to keep in mind while fasting. Here are the tips for him.

Before sehri (Ramadan fasting tips) starts, you can have cucumber, buttermilk, yogurt, watermelon and banana in your morning meal. These can satisfy your thirst. While fasting, eat foods that contain sugars that will give the body energy. Oats, jowar, ragi, sugar free muesli can be kept in the food list. The first meal (iftar meal) after fasting all day should be light. Eat foods that will instantly give you electrolytes and raise your blood sugar. Coconut water or salted lemon water is most beneficial in case of dehydration. Break your fasting with them. For this reason, a lot of drinks, fruits and dates are kept in Iftar.
