What Could Football Look Like In The Near Future?

Hi football lovers,

I bring you exciting possibilities in the game of football now that technological advancements has reached its peak. This is because, there will be many precautions that will be laid down to prevent another pandemic shutdown and possibly many other technological innovations too.

First and foremost, I think there will be no shortage of people who would love this great sport so no restrictions is going to change that fact. I think there will definitely be some criticism that will not sit well with the people but the game itself will not change.

There will certainly be VAR check modifications since the new way of implementation is mostly about whether or not the referee agrees to implement it. At times, there could be a foul that is overlooked by the referee and would only stand in the event of a goal.

This never sits well with the fans or the player who struggled to eventually put the ball at the back of the net.

It seems that with the inception of VAR, more players and teams have devised ways and means to beat it since it cannot detect the intensity of an attack but can only detect contact. Thus, the slightest touch would result in the fall of the player.

At times, this is quite obvious on the pitch but the referees would give it anyway as it is known to be a penalty.

There need to also be a mandatory fixed cap for teams which cannot be exceeded. What do I mean by this? Teams like Manchester United, Man CIty and Chelsea have some of the most valued teams due to the caliber of players they have on their squad.

And although they have every right to sign these players, it removes the balanced nature from the game we love. There should therefore be a rule that will bring about fairness regardless of a team's budget.

For instance, you cannot exceed a total team value of $500million irrespective of the amount you make.

This will give smaller teams some gap to compete within and tighten the competition.

I hope we can see a more fair football in the coming months soon enough.
