INTRODUCTION: Good day Steemians, once again, I welcome each of us to the last week of season 2. Best of luck in the contest.

Tell us about your work life, do you like your job? Can you make time at work for Steemit? Could Steemit be your first job? How is your financial situation?

Tell us about your work life

Currently, I am still a student. I am currently studying Electrical and Electronics engineering at the University of Ilorin which is one of the best universities in Nigeria. I got admitted In the year 2018 and am currently in my 4th year, meaning I have one more year to go.

Right now, the course I am studying is my work and so I am going to be talking about my life around it. My course of study is a very demanding one as there is a lot to do and I am sure engineers that have gone through the process can attest to this.

I have classes from Monday to Friday weekly and sometimes on Saturday and Sunday. Classes I have on Saturday and Sunday are actually fixed classes as they are not on the timetable, they are just classes that some lecturers fixed so they can complete the syllabus.

My classes begin from 8 am on most days and it ends at 4 pm though there are some breaks. I also engage in a lot of tutorial classes. sometimes I am the tutor, sometimes I am the student.

As engineering students, it is required of us to have adequate industrial experience and so, sometimes are desecrated for this. During this time, I work with different companies where I gain different knowledge that has been helping me in the long run. I can do house wiring, set up solar panels, and build some electrical devices.

Many times, I only take dinner as there is not enough time to cook and talk less about eating. The reason behind this is not just because of no time but also because whenever I am working or studying, I don't think about food.

Moreover, I need not to skip the fact that despite still being a student, I am already earning with my course of study. Anytime I am less busy, I joined some Electricians since I have their skill and we go for work from which I earn from. Also, I do repair some electrical and electronic devices which also fetches me some money. Though this doesn't happen often as school work is always bulky and demanding.

Currently, my school is on strike, meaning that I am supposed to be very less busy, this is not the case. During the Covid period, I decided to up my programming skill which is an area in my course of study, and before this ongoing strike, I had applied to an online School, AltSchool Africa to sharpen this skill more. Coincidentally, The program kicked off a week after the strike began.

Nowadays, all I do is code and write. I enjoy online school more, it is less stressful and I can take or watch the learning materials any time of the day. This has made other activities easy too.

Do you like your job

Remember when I said I most times eat only dinner, it is because I love my course of study so much that I devote a lot of my time to it just to be very good at it. I graduated from High School in the year 2016 and I had to wait for 2years till I gained admission for this course, you can see how much I love this course.

Even though the unemployment rate in my country is alarming, I see a lot of potential in my course of study and this makes me love it more.

Can you make time at work for Steemit?

I make time for everything that is on my timetable at the right time. I prioritize my education more than anything and so I give it my full attention. Does this mean that when a semester is on I don't make posts or engage? No, I do and it is all about planning.

I always set a timetable every week and I must make sure I complete all daily tasks before I go to bed. The majority of the time, in a week, I dedicate two nights to Steemit in my timetable and it is on these two nights that I make my posts.

All I had said earlier is how I go about Steemit and my school life. Just as I had said earlier, online school is less stressful and less demanding my opinion though. Since starting, I had had much time for Steemit and I write any time of the day since I can also watch my learning materials any time of the day.

Could Steemit be your first job?

Even though I have been falling in love with writing, My course of study, and my education remains number one on the list. There is this feeling that one has whenever one is doing what he or she likes best, this is the kind of feeling I have whenever I am doing anything relating to my course of study. I derive so much joy in it and I can't leave it for anything.

How is your financial situation?

Being a student, I am still dependent on my parent for many things and so I am safe to say I have no financial situation😆, it is their financial situation. To an extent now, there are many things I can do for myself thanks to @olawole111 who introduced Steemit to me. The majority of the time, from the money I earn from Steemit and some gigs, I get my school materials by myself, I eat good food and wear good clothes.

Summarily, I am living well.
