Hello steemundo, I am so really happy to be doing this contest as my first post in the community. Hope you all are great. Technological advances in communication have been really wonderful over the years, so there is much difference between the phones we used then and the phones we use now.

The first phone I had was bought for me by my brother. He called me one day in such a harsh manner and I was scared. I thought I had done something wrong. He was standing in the kitchen when he called me so I went there to meet him. He then reached into a plastic and brought out a phone box. I was so excited. That was in 2011. I can't remember exactly the mark of the phone.

The phone above is a Sony phone. Like I said above I can't remember exactly the mark of my first phone by it had the same shape as this Sony phone and it wasn't a smart phone either.

I could only use my first phone to make offline calls and to text offline. It couldn't connect to the internet, neither could it snap pictures because there was no internal storage. I needed a memory card. The hardest thing to do with the phone was to text long messages. There are like 3 letters on one button so u would have to press press press before the last letter pops up. It was stressful.

My current phone was still gotten for me by my brother. He bought me this one after my iphone 7+ malfunctioned. My current phone is Google pixel 3xl.

The picture above shows exactly how my phone is. The phone is a smart phone with a 64GB space, 4 GB RAM and an Android version of 12.0. The camera quality is amazing so as the features. The battery lasts long and it has alot of settings which let's you set your phone to your liking. I also like the fact that it has both finger print and password security.
Since it is a smart phone, it can connect to the internet so I have the ability to communicate with people far and wide with ease.

The difference between my first phone and my current phone is clear. Typing isn't hard, I can connect to the internet. Communication is easy for me both offline and online.

• Clearer and more quality pictures can be taken and kept to share around the world or to save for future use.
• Reaching out to our families, friends and colleagues is easier online and offline.
• Typing is easy with the smartphone since the letters on the keyboard stand individually.
• Video calls have been made available to us so that we can also see our loved ones through a call.
• Letters that used to take days to get to someone takes just minutes now with the use of emails.
• Group chats are now available go a group of people to chat at once in the same space.

Even though there are some negative aspects in the advancement of technology in communication, I think the good outweighs the bad. So to conclude, technological advancement in communication has improved and evolved greatly.
