I am back again to go over some of the rulesets. We got two new ones but I will do those later. Once again if you make a comment with some feedback about the game or the post you can win 500 DEC. I have a winner today that has been lucky in my giveaways. I post this one Hive and Steem and pick one winner from all the people that make comments that follow that rule above. Time to get to some strategies.

Healed Out.png

Healed Out makes the game seem a lot more even at first. As some teams don't have good healers. Then you see that someone uses an armor team set up with repair. You lose and then you learn that that is how to win this setup. Sometimes you can avoid that if you have a guy with rust. So the main team I use in this is Life. The others that can work is Water and Fire. Earth can have armor but can't have repair. Sometimes then can win due to the guys with armor but not as often. This is a time to use a lot of mages if you can. The new summoner that can take away armor is an option here for Earth so give him a shot, if you have him leveled. I like to combo dragon with life as I did in this battle. In general I feel like this rule hurts Earth the most. After that, it hurts Death due to their lack of cards to give armor. Also, both don't have good repair cards. Shield and Void with armor are important in this setup. Back up skills like silence or headwinds can help your tank live longer also. Magic reflect can work well if your tank has the life to shoot a lot of magic back. Don't use the tanks that had self-heal unless you have to. Most of the time they have weaker stats due to having the self-heal. So pick one that keeps all his skills and you will do better.

Keep Your Distance.png

Keep Your Distance is a battle mode that tricks me sometimes. I set up my team like it is back to basics and lose fast. Don't do that. Use a real tank if you can not the peaceful giant. Lord Arianthus is one of the best for this mode followed up with. I like to follow it up with Prismatic Energy due to the double magic reflect. You tend to see a lot of mages in this mode. For sure you will see some. Here is a battle that showcases great setups. I didn't have a recent one to show you but that one gives you a good idea of the kind of cards to use. I know you might have the same high-level ones as them but still look at how the work as some cheaper cards come close. Ranged guys can be good as return fire is not used as much. Yet you need to have some mages in case they end up in the front row. Healing can still be used here and is important. In that battle, you saw the power of affliction from the new summoner for the Death Team. When Earth couldn't heal it was over pretty fast. So remember that and play affliction cards. Play your healers and play cards with Void and Self Heal. You can try a heavy sniper team for sure. I play earth a lot with the ranged people they have and the healers. Armor teams are also pretty good for this mode. Unless you run into all mage team. Keep that in mind when you look at what teams your opponent plays. Another tank almost as good and much cheaper is a leveled up GELATINOUS CUBE if it has self-heal. You will want to combo him with guys with silence and headwinds if you can. So he has a chance to scavage to higher hp before he gets killed then the self-heal gets really strong.

Lost Leg.png

Lost Legendaries should include summoners IMO. But it doesn't so don't forget that in high mana matches you will still run into those Legendary summoners. Still, this mode is one that a lot of us playing without the expensive cards like. I have a good set of legendary cards but not all of them are leveled to 3 or higher so this mode is one I don't mind. I tend to play Earth or Death. Both have really good rares and don't need their legendary cards to field pretty good teams. Life can do okay in this mode also. Ruler of the Sea is so strong it hurts Water a lot to lose him. Fire can be used if the mana is low but in higher mana, I don't like them. In general, just pick a team you like that doesn't have a legendary card in the lineup to make it work. In this battle I lost to a life team because I did something silly. I wasted mana on a dragon summoner and still played life. But his set up was really good for this mode. I really would like to know what teams you think are best for this mode? For sure it isn't dragons haha.

I am going into what I hope is my last week of furlough. It has been odd being home with the kids all this time but it has been fun also. Possible it gets extended. I will find out the plan for my state tomorrow. I haven't been able to play as much as I want at all. It is funny how when the kids go to school I get more time at night as they are tired and go to bed easier. Still, I will try to remember this extra time I got to spend with them as a good thing. I know it is a bit off-topic but just sharing a bit with the people I like. You know the other splinterlands players. Now I have a winner to give some DEC. It was from this post on steem and on Hive and the winner is...

LOL well I don't have the 2nd o in it. Seems like that was already taken :P. Hope I win this one too! Thanks for the giveaway! As for the feedback: I agree with you on the flame monkey but you forgot about Armoursmith! He is very undervalued but is actually highly valuable.

Hello @stever82,

In lower levels I would:

in Healed Out - Rule with the Kraken in 6th to take all the presure from the 1st tank with the reaching out monster. All that with Bortus and Naga Windmaster.

in Keep Your Distance - In 1st always with Prismatic Energy and the Cube in 2nd or 3rd. The healer is necessary too.

in Lost Legendaries - I always think to myself why you not let me use the Kraken.

Cheers!
