Introducing Bella 🐕

Encounters have a changing power to alternate with our feelings by making us happy at one time and making us grieve at another. Some random encounters might not lead to anything, but there are some which has that power to get involved with our lives. This is also such a moment where a random coincidental encounter expanded into a temporary encounter and finally evolved into a lifelong bond.

The first parties which were involved with the first encounter is my mum, me and a random small puppy in the road. The puppy was obviously not used to roads and both of us were worried that she might crash into a vehicle. The exact words that changed between my mum and me was that it would be better if we could take her home, but raising a puppy would not be easy with our new situation specially without dad. So we could only buy some food for her from a nearby place and went back to our home. This encounter happened at our nearest junction which was like 1km away from our home.

A few days after this encounter, I received a text and photo from my sis who was at home. (I was still working at that time, so I was at the college). It was the exact same puppy whom we saw a few days ago at the junction, and her wandering had brought her to our home. Whether it’s a coincident or good luck on puppy’s side- no one knows. She was hiding under a bush in our yard when my sis found her. Puppy was very scared to reach out to us which was a sign that she had been hit on the roads. But after some time, she reached out to us to let her give food and a bath. We had a discussion to decide what to do with her. we thought to foster her until we vaccinate her and make her healthy, and then find a forever home for her since it was hard to raise another puppy with our new found responsibilities.

How she was after a week

That’s why we thought it to be a temporary encounter. However, all of us came to an unvocalized agreement that we would continue to raise her with us. It was not easy for me and my sis to look after three adults, two dogs and two cats who are still grieving the loss that we faced but we both knew that the puppy grew attached to us very quickly, so it will only make her sad to change her household. So we decided to raise her one of ours and I named her as Bella. So this is to introduce our Bella to you all who became the youngest member of our family. It was an encounter which created a forever bond in our life.
