Our Homecoming

I have shared my memories of my wedding day with you via a previous article. And also, about the way I have planned my wedding pre-shoot. So, I thought to share my memories of our homecoming day with you through this article.

I have told you that my wedding was held last year on the 3rd of May. So, our homecoming was held on the 6th of May. It is also a beautiful day in our life. Though I met some of my husband’s relations on our wedding day, his most of relations are invited to the homecoming. So, he and I were very excited, same as on our wedding day. I hope it feels the same for every couple. Especially to the bride. Because it is first time the bride will see his husband relations. So, this is the way it went.

After our wedding we went to a beautiful place for our honeymoon. I will share with you the place and its beauty with you via a separate article. So, until then I will keep it as a secret. So, on that day we were in our hotel. My beautician and husband’s hair maker also came to our room to get ready us. My makeup artist and her assistant dressed me and made me so beautiful and she brought a beautiful red rose bouquet according to the way I told her. So, I have ready with a beautiful saree which my husband gave me and with a bouquet of roses in my hand.

According to our plan we went to the independent arcade to do our photoshoot. It was my first time going inside the arcade. It is a beautiful place to do a wedding shoot and also a nice place for pre-shoot as well. When we went there, we saw more than 5 wedding couples coming to their shoots. We are also in a hurry to take photos because we get a ticket only for one hour and its cost 10,000. However, we could able to take nice photos there.

Next, we went to the reception hall, and it is Opulent River Place Hotel in Rajagiriya. We went inside there with my family members and relation and there was a dancing team to carry us inside our hall. Though this happened nearly a year ago, I still feel like a day before today. We went inside and did the traditional things and cut out cake and enjoyed it a lot.

My husband also felt very happy on that day, because of seeing the reunion of his relations on this day because of our homecoming. Everyone came and enjoyed a lot on that day. His family members warmly welcomed me to their family. And also, it was a happy moment for my parents by seeing the way they are treated for me.

After the end of day, we went to my husband’s house. My parents and my relation came there to say goodbye to me for that day. Actually, it was very sad moment. Though my husband loves me a lot, seeing my parents leave me in a new place and in a new environment it became a very sad moment for me and my parents and my brother. I think it may be the same for every girl. They have to move another place and make her new family. In one hand is it a sad moment. But in the other way it is beautiful start for a happily ever after life. So, this is how I start my family life with my husband.
