This is my first post in this community. I'm an Advertising Copywriter by profession and I'll share some tips to help you get more engagement. Let's start!

1. Show Intent:

Everyone knows why we're in the Steem community, right? We have our own purpose, to earn coins. But make sure that your posts are not just about SP hunting.

It's not just you, we all feel annoyed when we see a basic post that lacks intent. If you're writing a personal story, add details. If you're giving a productivity tip, tell how it helped you. This tells the reader that you're more involved. Add value to the best of your ability.

2. Write Compelling Titles:

Titles are the first touchpoint between your post and the reader. If it's a generic or plagiarised one, a lot of us might skip to the next one. It has happened to you too, I am sure.

From my personal experience in the industry - People don’t generally read beyond the headlines. It’s important that your headlines attract attention and make readers want to know more. If they are short and precise, the interested users will click on them right away.

I read a saying during my training -

Write short & slick to make them click!

3. Final Tip - Think about the formatting!

I know what you are thinking. "Formatting is just another layer, it's not as important!"
But believe me, a properly formatted article performs way better than a good article with poor formatting.

Working upon the formatting is easy. Just click here before publishing your post.

Use special characters to format your post and that would be enough.

It's mostly about text aesthetics. If it's easy on your eyes - your brain receives a subconscious signal to like it too. It's that simple. The people who've read this article by heart till now will understand it.
