How Our Normal Weekend Looks Like

As I always say, my weekdays are filled with arguments, negotiations, challenges, and also bugs. So the entire week flies by quickly, and honestly, I want it to.

When it comes to Friday, I have hope for a peaceful weekend, staying away from all the work stress and also cooking. Harith and I have a mutual agreement on how we spend our weekends, avoiding things that make our lives difficult.

So during weekends, we do whatever we like.

If there aren't any specially planned visits or activities, we have a good sleep until morning. Weekends are our no-alarm dates, so whenever our eyes open, we wake up. Normally, Harith's parents provide breakfast on Saturdays, and we share food with them on weekdays. If not, we cook easy breakfasts like milk rice, chickpeas, or any other grain.

While the breakfast is being cooked, I watch social media videos, usually until 8 am. After that, we spend some time on house cleaning activities. After breakfast, we do whatever makes us comfortable. Sometimes it's watching a movie, reading a book, or maybe watching a cricket match.

Some days we go out for lunch, and some days we cook something special that we can share with Harith's parents.

In the evening, we also do whatever things make us feel better. Even though this little spare time is not enough to heal my wounded mind from the weekdays, I still love this small time.
