سب سے پہلا طریقہ یہ ہے کہ مچھلی کو آٹے یالسی سے اچھی طرح دھو کر آدھے گھنٹے کے لیے لیموں لگا کر رکھ دیا جائے. اس کے بعد دوسری سبزیوں کی طرح تمام ہرا مصالحہ جن میں ادرک لہسن ٹماٹر پیاز وغیرہ کو چھوٹا بریک کاٹ کر ان کو کسی کڑاہی میں اچھی طرح گھی ڈال کر بھون لے جب مصالحہ اچھی طرح تیار ہو جائے تو اس میں نمک مرچ ہلدی اور گرم مصالحہ ڈال کر پانی کا چھڑکا لگائیں.
اور اس میں مچھلی کو دو سے تین منٹ تک تلیں جب یہ اچھی طرح تلی جائے تو چولہے سے نیچے اتار کر پیش کریں اور اگر آپ نے اس کا شوربہ بنانا ہو تو مچھلی کے پیٹ باہر نکال کار انہیں کسی صاف برتن میں رکھ لیا اور باقی مصالحے میں پانی ڈال کر اپنی ضرورت کے مطابق درمیانی آنچ پر پکائیں جب شوربہ گاڑھا ہوجائے تو اس میں مچھلی کے پیس رکھ دے اور بالکل ہلکی آنچ پر پکائیں ایک سے دو منٹ کے بعد اتار لیں.
تیسرا طریقہ یہ ہے کہ مچھلی کو دھو کر اچھی طرح صاف کر لیں اس کے بعد میں میدا مچھلی مصالحہ نمک مرچ ڈال کر اسے لگا کر رکھ دیں
اور کم از کم گھنٹے کے بعد گھی یا آئل گرم کر کے اس طرح مچھلی تلنےمیں سے سب سے زیادہ لذیذ مچھلی بنتی ہے اس طرح مچھلی تل کربنانے میں ہے اس کا ٹیسٹ بہت اچھا آتا ہے اور یہ بہت لذیذ لگتی ہے ہر کوئی تلی ہوئی مچھلی کھانا پسند کرتا ہے
بڑے بڑے ہوٹل میں ثابت مچھلی کو روسٹ کیا جاتا ہے اور مچھلی کی بڑی مانگ ہے
